Taihu Lake self-driving tour

Day 1:

Depart from Hangzhou at 6 a.m. and take the Nanjing-Hangzhou Expressway towards Nanjing - pass through Jiapu North and take a short rest in the Taihu Service Area - continue heading north into Jiangsu - - Yanning-Hangzhou Expressway turns to S48 Xiyi Expressway at Xiwu hub - get off at the Caoqiao exit - drive south towards Yixing for about 800 meters and there is a large roundabout - get on Provincial Highway 342 and go east towards Wuxi for 10 kilometers. When we arrived at the Play Valley Tourist Resort (there are road signs along Provincial Highway 342), we happened to have lunch there, and then spent half a day playing there in the afternoon - when leaving the amusement park in the evening, don't go back the way you came, but the way you came. Turn on the other side (turn south, or turn right after exiting the gate of Play Valley). After driving for 2 kilometers, you will see a mountain road. Go directly up the mountain, and then over the mountain (the mountain is not high, about 150 meters). On the other side is the Taihu Lake. There is a Zhushan Lake Town Resort. You can stay there. The price is about 250 per room. You can have a meal of Lake fresh food (Taihu Sanbai) there in the evening, and then you can go to the lake. While taking a walk, you can also go fishing at night or something. The characteristics of living there are that it is relatively quiet and the food is delicious.

We set off at eight o'clock the next morning. We didn't have to go up the mountain anymore. We drove east along the lake towards Yangshan Town in Wuxi. There is a Lingshan Giant Buddha there. If you don't want to see it, there is a small one next to it. Around town. Then take the Taihu Expressway to Wuxi. Then take the Shanghai-Nanjing Expressway to Suzhou and transfer to the S227 Changtai Expressway - then transfer to the Shenjiahu Expressway - and finally transfer to the Hangzhou Expressway and return to Hangzhou.
