You need a visa to go to Brunei.
Brunei opens ordinary tourist visas, landing visa visas and transit visas to China citizens who hold ordinary passports for personal reasons. Among them, landing visas and transit visas are subject to certain conditions. Ordinary individuals can apply for ordinary tourist visas if they travel.
How to apply for a Brunei visa?
Ordinary tourist visa
Applicable to China passport holders departing from China (including Hong Kong and Macao) or other countries and regions. Visa application should be processed through the China Embassy and Consulate in Brunei after all materials are prepared.
Required materials
1. Completed visa application form (the application form can also be obtained from the embassy or consulate);
2. Two two-inch personal recent photos;
3. The original passport with a validity period of more than six months and a copy of the first page, and at least two visa white pages;
4. Brunei Hotel Order (paid) or a copy of the invitation letter and passport of Brunei's relatives and friends (the return trip shall not exceed 14 days);
5. Round-trip air ticket order;
6. The applicant's bank deposit certificate of more than 30,000 yuan has been frozen for 6 months.
Treatment process
1. Fill in the download application form and prepare personal materials;
2. Go to the Brunei Consulate for visa approval and payment. Visa fee 100 RMB;
3. Waiting for the signing, you can get the signing in about 3 working days, depending on the time on the receipt issued by the embassy.
Validity of visa: the visa is valid for 90 days from the date of issuance, with a stay of 14 days and entry times 1 time.
Note: You can authorize others to submit all materials, but you will not accept mailing. Entrusting others requires a power of attorney, and the embassy does not provide the specific format of the power of attorney.

Brunei has implemented visa on arrival policy for China citizens since June, 2005. The study room has further relaxed relevant policies. From May 1 2065438, China citizens with personal passports can apply for visas on arrival at all ports of entry, including Brunei International Airport, for a stay of 14 days, without applying through a travel agency in advance or providing a guarantor.
Note: The above policies are only applicable to tourists, not to work, business, employment and other entry purposes. Visitors to landing visa need to book hotels and joint flights in advance for future reference.
Visa fee: 20 Brunei dollars.
Stay time: 14 days.
Transit sign
Transit visa refers to the visa that needs to be applied for transit from Brunei. Generally speaking, the following conditions need to be met:
1, valid visa for a third country;
2. A letter of guarantee from a local travel agency in Brunei or an airline;
3. Leave the country with a joint ticket within 72 hours of entry and the departure and destination countries are not the same country.
Visa fee: 5 Brunei dollars.
Residence time: 72 hours.
Note: At present, some airlines that stop in Brunei cannot provide guarantee services, so if you need to apply for a transit visa, you must confirm it when you buy a ticket.

Matters needing attention in Brunei's entry and exit
1. Entry into Brunei must be accompanied by a departure ticket, otherwise entry is not allowed. If you choose to leave Brunei by sea or land, please buy a ticket to leave Brunei first.
2. When entering the country, you need to fill in the entry registration card and hold a valid passport and visa for the immigration bureau to check and release. The customs may conduct spot checks on luggage.
3. If you choose to enter and leave Brunei from Malaysia, please confirm that you have a multiple-entry visa from Malaysia. East Malaysia (Sarawak and Sabah) does not provide transit visas. If you only hold a single entry visa from Malaysia, please make sure that the landing area for leaving Brunei is West Malaysia in order to obtain a transit visa.
