On the Importance of "Service" in Tourism

As a famous historical and cultural city, X City has a strong historical atmosphere and proud historical and cultural resources. As a tour guide, how to make the guests feel happy during the tour, how to convey the profound connotation of X city to the guests during the tour, how to get their work recognized by the guests, and how to organize their own team are all key issues. So I chose to practice in a travel agency. Through the contact with guests in practical work, I can improve my business ability, accumulate experience in group tour, and learn the skills and language expression of group tour. The summer vacation came early and the internship began. Finally, it's time to practice. I learned from my seniors a long time ago that I have an internship in the second half of my junior year. At that time, I was eagerly looking forward to this day. Because everyone can't stand the spoon-feeding teaching day after day, although I learned from my senior sister that the internship is not as happy as I thought. Based on my overall planning, I decided to contact a travel agency with international tourism business for an internship. Fortunately, I came to 0000 Travel Agency as an intern, and I learned a lot from different people and things and benefited a lot. 0000 Travel Agency is an independent business and accounting company, which is licensed by the National Tourism Administration to operate inbound tourism and domestic tourism. Now it has developed into an international travel agency with a certain scale of operation and comprehensive reception strength. Coincidentally, the general manager of the travel agency is a senior in the same school and department. He gave me a lot of good advice at the beginning of my internship, which made me wonder about the actual situation of the travel agency-is the workflow they did consistent with what the book said? How does the actual tour group work? I even began to wonder what I could learn from this travel agency. Internship results: Because the travel agency is small, the staff there have a clear division of labor. Mainly divided into outreach, planning, finance, logistics four parts. Outreach is the busiest department in the whole company. In addition to the ongoing business, you must take the initiative to contact people who have had business dealings, and even keep in touch as long as you know people in the industry. This workload is great, but the establishment of such a developed interpersonal network is also very important for outreach, especially tourism outreach. Small travel agencies like companies are often tour groups that cooperate with big travel agencies or small groups that cooperate with foreign travel agencies. They should not only ensure the quality of the team, but also make the cooperative travel agencies feel sincere and trust, so as to continue cooperation in the future. Therefore, the outreach work is very busy. In principle, the work of planning and scheduling is to arrange related matters for tour groups, such as arranging tour guides, hotels, trains, air tickets, etc., but there are often some problems in planning and scheduling. For example, the number and type of hotel rooms designated by tour groups have changed, which has affected the room price, or the number of rooms is insufficient. If this result is directly told to the travel agency, it is likely to cause dissatisfaction of the travel agency and even affect the operation of the tour group. Although it seems that there is nothing wrong with the adjustment, the problem really lies in this link. The company's planning is generally to coordinate problems by talking with the person in charge of the hotel. Of course, this coordination is based on technical communication. If it is a very formulaic coordination, there will generally be no change. I encountered such a problem when I was studying in the company. Sometimes business contacts can solve things by phone, but an inexperienced intern like me can't.
