Chaka has two attractions: Chaka Salt Lake and Sky One.
Chaka Salt Lake was originally a factory, with a large auditorium from the 1970s and 1980s inside. The salt lake here was the working area for digging salt in those years. Therefore, whether it is a sidewalk, a sightseeing car or a small train, entering The scenic spots all have a long drive, and you can walk all the way to the end.
Chaka Salt Lake is very large. Wooden telegraph poles are erected on the lake, stretching crookedly into the distance. You can walk along the walking stack paved with salt granules or take a sightseeing train. The further you go, the more you You will find that the farther you go, the fewer people there are, the clearer the lake is, and the beautiful scenery.
Abandoned railway tracks are rusty, there are a series of trucks carrying salt, and black salt dredging ships are stranded in the waterless wilderness. These things tell us that this place was once an industrial area. The salt was dug out of the lake by workers.
The history of salt digging in Chaka Salt Lake can be traced back to the Western Han Dynasty from 206 BC to 25 AD, which is more than 2,000 years ago.
The blue sky, white clouds and snow-capped mountains are projected into the lake. The lake surface changes with green, blue and white colors. The scenery is extremely magnificent and beautiful. When tourists enter the lake, they feel like standing on a mirror, with clear reflections, especially those wearing red skirts and yellow dresses. Clothes time.
The reputation of "land in the sky" originally refers to Chaka Salt Lake. Chaka Salt Lake became popular and attracted many people to check in. Profit-seeking capital has also sensed business opportunities. The Salt Lake is very large, and some investors have built a "Sky No. 1" scenic spot around the lake in the east, mainly for group tourists from travel agencies.
The characteristic of group tours is to get on the bus to sleep and get off to take pictures. The whole layout of "Sky One" is centered around getting off the bus to take pictures, so its scenic spots are very beautiful and photogenic.
It divides the entire lake into two, forming an inner lake and an outer lake. The outer lake is wide and unfathomable, like a river. The inner lake is a big circle. The water is clear, shallow and soft in color, sometimes blue and sometimes green. It is bright like a huge mirror. A red car is placed in the lake, some windmills are inserted, and a few salt trucks are dotted. The iron bucket and small sightseeing train pull tourists around the lake and the tour ends. This scenic spot is not blessed by mountains, but a large wind turbine in the distance is quite spectacular.
Chaka Salt Lake and Sky One are operated by two separate companies, so they each sell their own tickets. Tickets can be purchased at the visitor center or at the entrance to the two scenic spots. There is a shuttle bus at the visitor center to take tourists to the two scenic spots, and the round-trip ticket is 30 yuan.
There are two scenic spots, one in the east and one in the west. Sky No. 1 in the east and Chaka Salt Lake in the west. The ticket is valid for one day, so you don’t have to worry about missing the train. One day is more than enough to visit the two scenic spots.
Tickets for Chaka Salt Lake are 60 yuan. After entering the scenic spot, there are three options: rail train tickets, battery cars, and walking. One-way train tickets are 50 yuan/person. You can go directly from the entrance of the scenic spot to the depths of the lake. One-way battery cars 5 yuan/person is only delivered to the lake.
The ticket for Sky One is also 60 yuan, and the Thomas the Tank Engine train ticket for the whole journey in the scenic area is 40 yuan per person. There is also an 11-seater battery car available for 15 yuan, and the route is the same as the train. We went there in March, the off-season, and the scenic area only sold high-priced train tickets and no electric cars.
It is not recommended to walk the entire distance of both scenic spots. They are high in altitude, have little oxygen, and have strong ultraviolet rays. It is very sunny on a sunny day with the sun, and very cold on a cloudy day without the sun.
It is better for the elderly and young children who are not in good physical condition to take the train or sightseeing bus throughout the journey.
If you are short on time and just want to "go here", you can go to Sky One. If you want to know more about the history of salt mining and see salt sculptures, go to Chaka Salt Lake.
The pictures in this article were taken in March this year. Both scenic spots had just finished their winter rest, and they were bright, clean, distant, and spacious.
March is the dry season, coupled with cloudy skies and strong winds, the scenery is far less colorful than during the peak tourist season of July and August, but there are not many people and it is very quiet. If it had been July or August, there would have been people everywhere.
