Summer Palace (tour guide)
Hello, I'm Director Liu. Nice to meet you. Today, I will take you to visit the Summer Palace Park.
The Summer Palace was built in the 15th year of Qianlong 1750. Originally called Qingyi Garden, it is said that it was built to commemorate the 60th birthday of Empress Dowager Cixi. With Eight-Nation Alliance's invasion of Beijing in 1860, the Summer Palace was destroyed. Empress Dowager Cixi rebuilt the Summer Palace in 1888, so Qingyi Garden was changed to the Summer Palace.
Next, I will explain to you the following three scenic spots of the Summer Palace: the first scenic spot, Renshou Hall. 1. The mascots of the dragon's head, antlers, cow's hoof, lion's tail and fish scales that come into view at the palace gate are ancient auspicious Kirin, representing good luck and avoiding evil. Renshoutang is mainly a political activity area, which is the main place for Cixi and Guangxu to engage in internal affairs, diplomacy and political activities in the late Qing Dynasty. It is also the planning place of China's Reform and Reform. Emperor Guangxu led a group of people to launch the Reform Movement here. After the failure of the political reform, Renshou Hall was occupied by Cixi of the Qing government.
After listening to my introduction, do you understand what kind of palace Renshou Hall is? Let's visit Leshou Hall, Yulantang and Yiyuntang, the second largest scenic spot.
According to legend, Emperor Qianlong built the Le Shou Tang Palace in order to honor his mother, and mentioned the word "Le Shou", which can be traced back to the time of Confucius. He has a saying that people who know vocal music will live longer. Therefore, Emperor Qianlong used this word to name this palace in order to honor his old mother. Later, Le Shou Tang was burned down by Eight-Nation Alliance, and Cixi changed it into her dormitory. The structure was very exquisite, including a fan, which showed the majesty of Empress Dowager Cixi.
When it comes to Yulan Palace, there is also a story inside. It is said that after the failure of Wu Rong's political reform, Emperor Guangxu was placed under house arrest. Although it is a prison, the facilities inside are very luxurious, most of which are daily necessities and made of gold. From today's point of view, that prison is equivalent to the senior villa where we live now.
Compared with Yurun Palace, Yi Yun Pavilion is much more elegant. It used to be a library. Yun Yun is an herb that can prevent books from rotting, hence the name Yi Yun Pavilion.
In Guangxu Summer Palace, Yiyunge was once the bedroom of Empress Guangxu.
Next, we will go to the third scenic spot, the magnificent Kunming Lake and Wanshou Mountain! Wanshou Mountain and Kunming Lake are the main components of the Summer Palace. There are dozens of palace attractions on Wanshou Mountain, among which the Foxiang Pavilion is the most magnificent and famous. It was also burned by Eight-Nation Alliance in 1860, and then rebuilt. The Buddha statue inside is several meters high and weighs 10 thousand kilograms, which is of great artistic collection value.
Kunming Lake is beautiful, especially the Jade Belt Bridge. Please take a closer look. This bridge has an arched bridge opening. If you have been to Zhao Zhouqiao, you must know that this bridge opening is bigger and taller than bridge opening in Zhao Zhouqiao. Do you admire the superb skills of previous craftsmen?
After my introduction, you know something about the attractions of the Summer Palace. I hope you can have a happy day here.
