Bisezhai Railway Station is a popular place to check in.
After the holidays, the school organized a trip to Yunnan. On the morning of June 30, we arrived at the Bisezhai Railway Station in Mengzi, Yunnan. Because of the filming of the movie "Fang Fang", this place became a place for internet celebrities to check in.
? The train station is very small, not at all the scale and prosperity of the train stations in big cities. There are only a few railway tracks and a few simple houses, but it is this kind of railway built by the French. But it has witnessed a century of history and a hundred years of prosperity.
Before coming here, I learned about the history of Bisezhai Railway Station through different channels, and had a general understanding of its past and present.
? Bisezhai Station, formerly known as Bisezhai Station, is located in Mengzi City, Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, China. It is a fourth-class station under the jurisdiction of China Railway Kunming Bureau Group Co., Ltd. and passes through Kunhe Railway, Gebishi Railway.
? On April 13, the first year of Xuantong in the Qing Dynasty (1909), the Yunnan-Vietnam Railway was laid here, and a station was built. It was originally named Biluzhai Station, so the place is surrounded by mountains and the sea (Changqiao Sea), and the scenery Pleasant, so it was renamed Bisezhai Station.
In March of the second year of Xuantong in the Qing Dynasty (1910), the entire Yunnan-Vietnam Railway was completed. Bisezhai Station became the core hub of the Yunnan-Vietnam Railway and one of the oldest railway stations in China.
? In the 7th year of the Republic of China (1918), Bisezhai Station was approved as a special-class station
? In the 10th year of the Republic of China (1921), the Gebi Railway was opened to traffic, and Bisezhai Station was designated as a special-class station. The terminus is also the interchange station between the Yunnan-Vietnam Railway and the Gebishi Railway. Meter gauges and inch gauges interchange here and the import and export goods of southern Yunnan are transferred here, which is a prosperous place.
In October 1959, due to the impact of the "Big Steel Smelting", the railway from Mengzi to Bisezhai was dismantled. Bisezhai Station no longer carried out the standard-gauge and meter-gauge replacement business, and the station automatically It became deserted.
In 1992, passenger transportation at Bisezhai Station was suspended.
In October 2010, Bisezhai Station was cancelled
? Bisezhai Station covers an area of ??2 square kilometers, and the entire station is within the scope of key cultural relics protection. Bisezhai Station Building is located at the north end of the station, facing east-west. It is a French-style brick and wood structure building with red tiles and yellow walls. It has a first floor and a bottom, with a height of 11.5 meters, a width of five rooms of 25.5 meters, a depth of 10.2 meters, and a wide platform. 25 meters in length and 4 meters in depth, it is the Kunhe Railway Station. Next to Bisezhai Station is the dormitory of French employees
? For more than 30 years since 1910, Bisezhai Railway Station has played the role of the largest station along the Yunnan-Vietnam Railway. The warehouses were filled with large amounts of tin, furs and rice waiting to be transported abroad. The whistles of trains and the horns of porters kept ringing day and night. French, British, American, German, Japanese and Greek people arrived one after another and opened businesses here. Banks, restaurants, department stores, post offices. Many companies such as the American Mobil Sander Water and Fuel Company, the French Asia Water and Fuel Company, the German Texaco Water and Fuel Company, etc. have set up transfer stations and warehouses here. The most famous of the foreign banks is the Corus Brothers, run by the Greek brothers.
? The introduction on the mottled wall next to the railway track tells the story of the former glory of the Yunnan-Vietnam Railway and Bisezhai Station.
When Bisezhai Station was at its most prosperous, homeless people and businessmen from 18 provinces and 108 counties in China came here to realize their "dream of getting rich." More than 40 pairs of trains stop here every day, pulling people to load goods, washing cars and adding water. It is very lively; beautiful women and wealthy businessmen, foreign wine and coffee are scattered everywhere. Its openness and prosperity are second to none in southern Yunnan, and people from Kunming and Vietnam enviously call it "Little Paris". The French colonists controlled Yunnan's external transportation lifeline through the Yunnan-Vietnam Railway and monopolized Yunnan's business.
On December 21, 1987, Bisezhai Station was announced as a key cultural relic protection unit in Yunnan Province.
In 2013, Bisezhai Station was included in the seventh batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
After learning about the development history of Bisezhai Railway Station, I was full of curiosity and awe at this small railway station that was soaked in the sweat and sweat of many Chinese workers.
Through the tour guide’s explanation, we learned that Bise Village in the early 20th century was not only a station and material exchange center, but also a paradise for tourists and a relic of history.
When traveling around the station, you can see that Bisezhai Railway Station still retains many historical relics: Datong Company, water tower, station building, railway station clock, police station, French employees’ dormitories, Brother There is a hotel, a red earth tennis court, etc., and even a grape tree planted by the French.
Because of a movie, this place is once again prosperous and crowded with tourists. In 2017, the movie "Youth" directed by Feng Xiaogang was filmed here, and it has once again become a must-visit place for internet celebrities in Yunnan. Tourists traveling from north to south, dressed in military uniforms, performed youthful moments, and some even joined hands in a group dance to find the feeling of youth together.
At present, visiting here is free. If you change into military uniforms to take photos, the change fee is only 10 yuan.
When entering the street leading to the station, we saw many tourists who had changed into military uniforms, Republic of China uniforms, or Hanfu, and took photos on the street.
After traveling thousands of miles to get here, many colleagues couldn’t hold back their excitement and happily changed into military uniforms. When they looked at each other, they all looked dashing and heroic, full of energy, and looked like a good female soldier!
After changing into military uniforms, everyone hurriedly came to the street and took photos with the ancient houses as the background.
Then we walked to the station together and took photos on the railway track and next to the station. Marching in military salute, standing in a military posture, walking in unison, shouting slogans, and interpreting one's youth with military posture. Especially our principal, after putting on the military uniform, he looks like a leader, not angry but confident.
?
Before coming here, I watched the movie "Youth" again, so when I saw the yellow station, narrow rails, locomotives, unique French architectural style, etc. When planting cultural relics, I immediately felt a sense of intimacy. Seeing those people taking pictures in green military uniforms, the historical sediments emerged, and it was very chronological, as if we were taken back to the border town decades ago.
? Sitting in front of a dilapidated house next to the train station, the glass windows and wooden doors with a strong sense of age are tightly closed. The mottled walls and old platforms seem to be telling you about the past. An old wall clock with the word PARIS printed on it is embedded in the yellow wall. The hands are no longer there, and time has stopped.
? There is an old wooden chair placed under the fixed clock. The tour guide told us that this is the clock of French time. The chair is where Liu Feng and Chen Xiaoping embraced in the last scene of the movie "Youth" And a place to sit. This is a classic place for internet celebrities to check in. How can we do this without taking photos? Colleagues sit here one after another, experiencing the past time, like waiting for relatives who are about to arrive.
After taking photos happily, we went to visit around the station. I saw a small locomotive on one side of the station. It is said to be a locomotive left over from France and has a history of more than 100 years.
Don’t look at this small train station, two movies have already been shot here. One is "Wuwen Dongxi" and the other is "Youth". Because of the filming of these two movies, this place has become a place for Internet celebrities to check in. People traveling from south to north will come here to visit, put on military uniforms and find a feeling of youth.
? After visiting this small train station full of vicissitudes of life, it seemed like I had a dialogue with history, and I was very grateful.
? If you miss your youth, it is better to return to your hometown. This trip was well worth it.
