What provinces does the northwest include? What tourist attractions are there?
The northwest region is one of the seven major geographical divisions in China. The northwest region in terms of administrative divisions includes the six provinces of Shaanxi, Gansu, Qinghai, Ningxia, and the Xinjiang Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The northwest region in terms of natural divisions refers to the vast area west of the Greater Khingan Mountains, the Kunlun Mountains, the Altyn Mountains, and the Qilian Mountains, roughly including central and western Inner Mongolia, Most of Xinjiang, northern Ningxia, and central and western Gansu.
Famous attractions: Terracotta Warriors, Famen Temple, Fuxi Temple, Maiji Mountain, Mogao Grottoes, Tianshan Tianchi, Sailimu Lake, etc.
