Lijiang in the guidebook: (main attractions)

1. Yulong Snow Mountain: It is very close to Old Town of Lijiang, and you can visit the ancient snow mountain city in one day.

Overview of itinerary:

Starting from Lijiang → Yulong Snow Mountain Scenic Area (National 5A Scenic Area, Naxi Shenshan) → Ganhaizi (alpine pasture at the foot of the Snow Mountain) → Glacier Park (visit the glacier park with snow all year round by cableway to challenge the life height of 4680M) → Blue Moon Valley Scenic Area (visit Baishui River in Blue Moon Valley on foot to find the lost horizon) → Return to Lijiang.

2. Lashihai: Depart from Lijiang → Lashihai International Wetland Park → Riding on the Tea Horse Road → Lunch → Boating in Lashihai → Return to Lijiang.

3. Shangri-La: It takes about 4 hours by car from Lijiang. I think two days is enough.

Day 1: Departure from Lijiang → observation deck of the First Bay of the Yangtze River → Shanghu Tiaoxia (about1.5h on foot) → observation deck of Yicun → Xiaozhongdian Ranch → Dukezong Ancient City (the Great Buddha Temple worships Buddha and visits the world's largest prayer wheel) → Stay in characteristic hotel, Tibet.

Day 2: Visit Pudacuo National Park (Bitahai, Shudu Lake and Mitangya Alpine Ranch) → Shangri-La → Return to Lijiang.

4. Dali: The road conditions from Lijiang to Dali are very good. You refer to the tour the next day.

Depart from Lijiang → Dali Ancient City (Nanchengmen, Wuhualou and Foreigners' Street) → Xizhou Ancient Town (visit the Millennium Ancient Town and visit the Bai People's Houses by carriage) → Hongshan Temple Observation Deck → Shuanglang Ancient Town (stroll the seaside town and experience the sea and sky life) → Shuanglang boarded Nanzhao Fengqing Island by boat (about 1 hour) → return to Lijiang.

5. Lugu Lake: The road conditions are not very good. It has been repaired for many years, and there is no road repair. A three-day trip would be better.

Day 1: Departure from Lijiang → Lugu Lake observation deck → Mosuo's home visit → Pig trough boat tour of the lake → bonfire party.

The next day: Departure from the inn → Lover's Beach Bay → observation deck of drilling rig → Nisai Village → Goddess Bay → Caohai Wedding Bridge.

Day 3: Depart from Lugu Lake → Take photos by the lake to watch the sunrise → Ninglang Xiaoliangshan → Return to Lijiang.

6. About accommodation:

If you want to live comfortably, I suggest you stay in hotels around Lijiang city. Chain hotels will be more affordable.

If you want to live a feeling, you will live in Shuhe Ancient Town, with a quiet and quaint environment.
