Basic introduction to Shanghai Changfeng Park

Shanghai is a national AAAA tourist scenic spot. It is located at No. 189 Daduhe Road, east of East China Normal University and south of Wusong River (Suzhou River). To the west of Dadu River Road and to the north of Nujiang Road. The park has four entrances: the south gate (main entrance) is Gate 1 on Daduhe Road; the east gate is Gate 2 at the southern end of Zaoyang Road; the north gate is Gate 3 on Nujiang Road; and the west gate is at Yunling, Daduhe Road. intersection.

The original site of the park was called Songjiatan. The terrain is low-lying and prone to waterlogging, making it unsuitable for farming. The park was built in April 1957. The District People's Committee mobilized 270,000 cadres and masses to do voluntary labor. Because the lake was dug low, it took more than two years to build the mountain. The park is named "Changfeng Park" after the meaning of "Wish to ride the long wind and break the waves" in "Song Shu Biography of Song Chou". Discus Mountain

Located in the north of the park, covering an area of ??15 acres (10,000 square meters), it becomes the main landscape of the park together with Yinzhu Lake . It is connected to the longevity (gingko) forest in the east, Yinzhu Lake in the west, Songzhumei Scenic Area in the south, and Xilao River in the north. This mountain is 26 meters high and is the highest man-made mountain in Shanghai Park. There are secondary peaks of different heights and shapes around the main peak, and there is a quiet valley in the southeast. The entire mountain shape is convex and concave, curved and stretched, steep and gentle.

Silver Lake

Located in the middle of the park, covering an area of ??220 acres (146,700 square meters). The water system of the entire park has clear priorities and clear gathering and dispersion. The Xilao River, about 400 meters long, meanders around Tiebi Mountain and is connected to Yinzhu Lake at both ends, forming a vast waterscape of intertwined lakes and rivers. On the east, south and southwest coast of the lake, there are water lotus ponds, lotus ponds, waterfowl ponds and fishing ponds of different sizes and shapes. The lakes are connected, like a string of pearls scattered around the lake.

Qingfeng Island

Also known as Qingfeng Oasis, it is located in the southeast of the lake and covers an area of ??4 acres (2,600 square meters). The island is named after its extensive planting of green maples, with a green maple bridge leading to the lake shore. There is a green stone pillar and a dome-shaped Qingfeng Pavilion on the island, covering an area of ??12 square meters. The pavilions are stacked on the south side, with a Taihu stone rockery.

Songzhu Beauty District

It is located at the intersection of the east end of Xilao River and Yinzhu Lake. It is surrounded by rivers on the east, west and south sides. It borders the southeastern foothills of Tiebian Mountain in the north and is crossed by the river in the west. The green bridge covering the east entrance of Laohetao covers an area of ??about 4,000 square meters. There is a lawn in the middle of the scenic spot, surrounded by three kinds of old and cold friends: black pine, cedar, podocarpus, bamboo, small bamboo, wintersweet, and red plum. Ginkgo trees are planted, and stone tables and benches are scattered under the trees. The scenic area has a wide Nanhe River, fan-shaped pavilions, brick and wood structures, and bamboo roofs, covering an area of ??50 square meters.

The fishing pond

is located in the southwest of the lake, covering an area of ??2,900 square meters. To the south of the pool, there is a square pavilion with a reinforced concrete structure and glazed tiles, called the Harvest Pavilion, with an area of ??12.5 square meters. The water in the pool is relatively shallow, and there are Taihu stone piers beside the pool for fishermen to stand or sit on. There are lush trees surrounding the swimming pool, and you can fish in the shade in the summer. The Northeast Passage is connected to the lake and there are bridges on the river.

Shui Qin Pond

It is located in the southeast of the lake and covers an area of ??2,000 square meters. It was originally planned to raise and watch water birds, but it was not implemented. There are two small islands in the pool, which were once called Peony Island

The park is located in the northern part of the east, with the Laohetao River to the east and north, the Songzhu Beauty Area to the south, and Tiebi Mountain to the west. It consists of ginkgo forest and flower beds, covering an area of ??2,700 square meters. There are flowers in the flower beds all year round, and more than 50 ginkgo trees flourish and bear fruit every year.

Guixiang Pavilion

It is located in the south-eastern part of the park, on the south bank of the wide mouth of the Xilao River, across the river from Fan Pavilion in Songzhumei District, and there is a large lawn to the southwest. The exhibition hall is rectangular in shape, with a bamboo structure and an area of ??42 square meters. Osmanthus flowers are widely planted around the exhibition hall.

Lei Feng Statue

Located in the southwest of the park, it was built in October 1984 with funding from the Shanghai Handicraft Management Committee of the Communist Youth League, the Municipal Red Scarf Council, and the Nanjing Road Hao Eighth Company. The statue is a bronze bust, 1.5 meters high and 1.5 meters wide. The base is made of granite and is 3 meters high, 1.5 meters long and 1.5 meters wide. The statue faces south, with a row of tall camphor trees to the north, cypress trees and flower beds to the west, and ginkgo and yucca to the east. There is a large lawn in front of the statue, where the Young Pioneers often hold team day activities.
