Xikou's Journey of Searching for Old Friends Sanxikou Scenic Area

35 kilometers southwest from Ningbo, we arrived at Xikou Town, Fenghua City, the hometown of Chiang Kai-shek and Jiang Jingguo. The town is located in a small basin surrounded by mountains, which are undulating and elegant as a gourd. A three-mile-long street in the town clearly runs through the east and west, and hundreds of shops on both sides of the street are arranged in an orderly manner. We came to town around 9 am. Through the thin fog, we feel a little hazy, and because of our relationship with a historical figure, it is already mysterious, but from the beginning, it is even more confusing.

Xikou town has a history of more than 1000 years, and there are many historical sites and cultural landscapes. Most of its scenic spots are closely related to the Jiang family. For example, Xikou Museum, Wulingmen, Wenchang Pavilion, Jiang's former residence, Fu, Yutai Salt Shop, Tomb, Fu Foundation, Miaogaotai, and General Zhang Xueliang's confinement.

The bus dragged us to Xuedou Mountain in the northwest of the town, and it was wonderful to hit the car along the dangerous road with the cold smell of turpentine. It climbed 36 bends until it reached the highest point of the mountain-the wonderful platform of "cutting out the table of thousands of mountains" This stop is also called Yaozhu Peak. Because it goes straight into the clouds, the predecessors lamented: "One peak is higher than the end of the white clouds, overlooking Wanshan. Try throwing a boulder at the post, I don't know when I will come to the world. " According to the tour guide, at 1930, this is a two-story villa built by Chiang Kai-shek here, which is known as the "wonderful high platform" and is used for viewing the scenery and enjoying the moon. 1949 after Chiang resigned, the Nanjing government, which was here to remotely command acting president Li Zongren, held many secret meetings of senior officials. There is also a small pavilion near the platform. In the movie Armageddon, a group of scenes of Chiang Kai-shek and his grandson playing chess were filmed.

General Zhang Xueliang's seclusion is located in a valley 500 meters downhill from Miaogaotai. It's a small bungalow with 6 rooms, 1 hall. Next to it is Xuedou Temple, known as one of the top ten Zen temples in the world. There are strange peaks and rocks, deep waterfalls and extremely beautiful scenery here. According to the administrator, the "secluded place" has now been changed to "General Zhang Xueliang Memorial Hall". After the "Xi Incident", General Zhang was imprisoned here. In order to restrict his freedom, Jiang once stipulated that he should not go out of the town in the east and cross the Cao 'e River in the west. During confinement, his wife Yu Fengzhi and his secretary Zhao Yidi took turns to accompany him here. Because General Zhang was angry and worried, he often pulled out his pistol and took the tree as the target when walking in the forest, which showed that he was extremely depressed. In the museum, we also saw hundreds of photos of general Zhang's life, which were inspired by houses and people. If general Zhang is alive in heaven, he will always think of the place where he was imprisoned, and that feeling will definitely haunt him.

Going down the mountain and passing through Jiangmu's tomb, it happened to be not far from the end of the strip. On the roadside, a bluestone archway came into view. It says "Jiangmu Tomb Road" in four Chinese characters. Walking 200 meters from the archway to the mountain hidden by cypresses is the tomb of Wang Caiyu, Chiang Kai-shek's biological mother. Walk 448 meters from Ci 'an to the cemetery. The whole cemetery covers an area of 100 mu. The pyramid-shaped mound is deeply hidden in the forest trees all over the mountain, with grass and flowers all over the slope. There is a portrait of Wang Caiyu in Ci 'an, and there is a book on the wall written by Chiang Kai-shek, which describes Wang Caiyu's life, experience and childbirth. The tomb faces south, surrounded by stones and embedded with cement. The tombstone is engraved with Zhongshan calligraphy of "Ten years of the Republic of China, the tomb of Mother Jiang, the year number". Both sides are couplets written by Chiang Kai-shek. The first couplet reads: "It is too late to be stubborn again that day", and the second couplet reads: "The shame of traitors is a lifelong pain." Between the lines, it serves to show Chiang Kai-shek's filial piety to his biological mother. When the author asked why Chiang Kai-shek's parents were not buried together? The tour guide said that his father died young. It turns out that a tomb has four tombs, one is the father's tomb, and the three tombs are the tombs of Xu, Xu Xian and Mother. Wang Caiyu had a will after her death, saying that she was discriminated against as a concubine at birth and would not be relegated to a lower position after her death. In addition, Jiang was already in a high position at that time, and he really didn't want to be said to be the son of a house full of people, that is, he didn't bury his mother and father together according to the old customs.

It was nearly noon when I got back to town, and there was still an hour before dinner. The tour guide took the tour group to Lisanchang Street again. The sky has cleared up, and the streets are straight. Because there is a mountain stream on one side, all the houses have to be built on the other side. Most of the buildings are two-story brick and wood structures, and there is nothing special about the style. Perhaps it is the economic development, or perhaps the people here have the habit of doing business in history, and the pavements are all open for business. Commodities are mostly food, silk, jade, handicrafts and clothing, especially Fenghua specialty "Melaleuca Cake". The boss is warm and kind. Because there are many sightseeing tours here, business is booming. There are local residents and nearby farmers in the street, all dressed very simply. If you don't know the way, they will tell you in a friendly way. At the east entrance of the long street, many high-class hotels are being built, all in the style of combining Chinese and western styles, with red tiles and yellow walls, which are extremely eye-catching in the sun. According to friends, there are more than 10,000 tourists here every day, and all hotels, guest houses and guest houses are full.

Walking along the street, a very elegant and unique building by the Tong Yuan River came into view, which was called "small house" by local people. Built by mountains and rivers, it has a two-story three-level roof with a water tower more than ten feet high behind it. It is said that the flat roof is used for diving, and the water tower was built by Song Meiling at the request of Chiang Kai-shek. Because this woman who is studying in America is used to running water and toilets abroad. People from Xikou China Travel Agency said that the "small house" was built at 1930, mainly for Chiang Kai-shek to go back to his hometown and some visiting dignitaries to live in, and Duan Na, Song Jiang's American adviser, also lived in it. When Jiang Jingguo returned from studying in the Soviet Union in 1937, he lived upstairs with his wife and son. Chiang Kai-shek is very strict with his son, asking him to "take it easy" and not be tired. Every day, he reviews his lessons. Daughter-in-law Jiang Fangliang, because she doesn't know Chinese, specially invited a female teacher from Cixi to teach. It can be seen that Jiang's guidance to his son is well-intentioned.

Chiang Kai-shek's father's name is Jiang, and the word Su 'an. In the middle street, I saw a Shikumen courtyard with a white high wall, which was the "original site of Yutai Salt Shop" opened by his grandfather Jiang Yubiao and his father Jiang Kai. These six characters were written by Chiang Kai-shek, who was born in this building. It is said that his grandfather mainly made wine and sold salt at first, but later he became "rich" and also engaged in rice and dried vegetables. By the time of ginger, the salt shop had expanded to the scale of a workshop. It was not until Chiang Kai-shek's death that the store was taken over by Chiang Kai-shek's younger brother, Jiang Jieqing.

Here, there is the story of Chiang Kai-shek's original Mao. Mao Tomb is located in a playground of Xikou District School in Zhongjie. This is an ordinary grave, and Wang Caiyu's grave is nothing worth noting. A stone tablet in front of the tomb is engraved with the words "the tomb of Mao Taijun", and the last book "Men are the country's respect". It used to be a private garden with many huge pine trees and ancient camphor trees. Before his death, Shi Mao was at odds with Chiang Kai-shek, so he often came here to worship Buddha and chant Buddhist scripture, seeking spiritual sustenance. On February 1939+ 12, when Japanese planes bombed Xikou, she was killed because she could not escape. Jiang Jingguo regarded her death as "the saddest thing in her life". She often drank tears in the middle of the night and reflected on her pain. Later, I thought that my mother liked this place best before her death, so I chose this burial. Legend has it that after Shi Mao was buried, Chiang Kai-shek and Song Meiling went to pay homage to the grave.
