A few days ago, the "Changzhi City Urban Master Plan (2011-2030) Adjustment Plan" was reviewed and approved by the 3rd executive meeting of the provincial government. The adjustment plan mainly considers factors such as the reform and innovation development of the development zone, the province's main functional areas, the tourism development of the Taihang Mountains plate, and the construction of major projects, and adjusts the industrial layout, some land uses, and the main urban area planning.

The "Changzhi City Master Plan (2011-2030)" was approved and implemented by the provincial government in January 2014. Since the implementation of the plan, it has played a positive role in promoting the economic and social development of Changzhi City.

Currently, Changzhi City is focusing on building an important growth pole in Shanxi and building a provincial sub-central city, focusing on the three major goals of "demonstration zone", "vanguard" and "new highland", accelerating the reform, innovation and development of development zones, Major industrial transformation projects, major infrastructure projects and the construction of Taihang tourism sector. In order to adapt to the requirements of reform and development, Changzhi City has adjusted the layout of the current planning.

According to the adjustment plan, in terms of industrial layout, Changzhi City has adjusted the 13 development zones planned to be integrated in the original plan into 10 development zones, with a total planned area of ??448.6 square kilometers. Among the 10 development zones, in addition to the approved Changzhi High-tech Industrial Development Zone, Changzhi Economic and Technological Development Zone, Huguan Economic and Technological Development Zone, Xiangyuan Economic and Technological Development Zone, and Tunliu Economic and Technological Development Zone, Shangdang will also be established Development Zone, Qinyuan Development Zone, Qinxian Development Zone, Changzi Development Zone, Lucheng Development Zone.

In terms of some land uses, Changzhi City planned to implement the Changzhi Airport relocation project (located in Nanxianquan, Changzhi County) in the original plan, but later decided not to implement the relocation after discussion.

In June 2015, the Provincial Development and Reform Commission approved the on-site reconstruction of the Changzhi Airport terminal area, and in May 2016, the National Development and Reform Commission approved the construction of the Taiyuan-Jiaozuo intercity railway project. The land use of these two projects is consistent with the original planning. The land use is inconsistent with the land use, and the adjustment plan will adjust this.

In terms of main urban planning, Changzhi City started by optimizing the urban spatial layout and structure, established ten key areas such as the "Three Rivers and One Canal" economic belt, the military-civilian integration area, and the Beizhai area, and planned and laid out a A batch of major infrastructure and people's livelihood projects that urgently need to be constructed, especially the rational layout of construction land.
