The cheaper option is to take the train from Beijing (Haixi) to Longyan, and then take the Luxu bus to Longyan Feng Express to Xiamen (the train from Longyan to Xiamen is currently slow, taking more than 5 hours, and it takes 2 hours by express. It will be faster after the Xiamen-Dragon Express is opened in July).
