Northwest Great Ring Road, also known as Qinghai-Gansu Great Ring Road, is a tourist ring road that passes through Qinghai and Gansu provinces. The conventional Great Green-Gansu Ring Road does not pass through Hoh Xil, East Jinnaier Lake, Ya Dan on the water, Aiken Spring in Mangya, and Jade Lake in Mangya, one of the four no-man's land in China. Therefore, when planning the route, I specially added the itinerary of Dongtai Jinaier Lake, Shuiyadan, Hoh Xil, Kunlun Mountain Pass, Mangya Aiken Spring and Mangya Emerald Lake to make the journey of the Northwest Great Ring Road more perfect.

Starting from Xining, the famous scenic spots along the way are: Qinghai Lake, Chaka Salt Lake, Hoh Xil, Kunlun Mountain, Dongtai Jinaier Lake, Shuiyadan, Mangya Aiken Spring, Mangya Emerald Lake, Dunhuang (Mogao Grottoes, Crescent Moon Spring), Zhangye Colorful Danxia, Qilian Mountain Grassland, Menyuan Rape Flower and so on.

The whole journey is 3400 kilometers, 9 days by car, and the average daily driving distance is 380 kilometers. Traveling in the northwest no man's land, the average daily journey is 400 kilometers, which belongs to the normal range, so there is no need to worry at all. )

Route: Depart from Xining, arrive at Ta 'er Temple in 2-3 hours, and then have lunch in Huangzhong County. Driving over Raj Mountain, you can see Princess * * passing through Sun Moon Mountain when she entered Tibet, and the legendary Daotang River formed by Princess * *' s tears, and arriving at Erlangjian Scenic Area in Qinghai Lake around 2 pm. From June to September, the lake in Qinghai is covered with rape flowers, and pieces of yellow flowers, lake blue, sky blue and snow white spread out into the most classic business cards in Qinghai Province. Go to the tea card to sign in at night.

Route: After breakfast, enter the real "Mirror of the Sky" Chaka Salt Lake Sky No.1 scenic spot. To visit the beautiful side of Chaka Salt Lake, it takes time to wait for the right air volume, light, white clouds, blue sky and other conditions, and it is more appropriate to play for 3 hours. After lunch, via Dulan, I drove to Golmud, which was impressed by "Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, Roof of the World and Kunlun Culture". On the way, I passed through Dulan County, visited the nearby Panchen Lama or the Sea Temple Flower Sea, and spent the night in Golmud.

Attractions: Chaka Salt Lake, Xiangride Panchen Lama and Hayes Flower Sea.

Mileage: 480 kilometers, 6 hours by car.

Route: Starting from Golmud, the car is driving in a vast and desolate no-man's land. The road is barren and vast, and Tibetan antelopes can be seen vaguely. After Nachitai and Xidatan, you can overlook the majestic and bright Jade Everest (6178m above sea level) and visit the infinite Longfeng Gong, the "descendant of the dragon and the descendant of the phoenix" of the Chinese nation. After passing through the Kunlun Mountain Pass (4,767 meters), it reaches the legendary cold spring that is not frozen all year round, and is known as "the holy water on earth and the dew on the iceberg". In the afternoon, drive back to Golmud, overlooking the no-man's land of Hoh Xil Nature Reserve at the outpost Sonam Dajie Protection Station. Spend the night in Golmud.

Route: Starting from Golmud, visit the newly-built online celebrity scenic spot "Qinghai Maldives" Dongtai Jiner Lake, and arrive at Wusu Ya Dan, a water city in no man's land of Qaidam, around 2 pm to feel the wonders of nature. In the afternoon, you can experience G3 15 National Road, a desert road that separates Lop Nur from Hoh Xil, the second of the four no-man's land in China, and feel the loneliness and magnificence of the no-man's land. Spend the night in Huatugou, Mangya Town.

Route: From Huatugou to the depths of Aral grassland, explore Aiken Spring, which is known as the "Eye of the Devil" on Manya. In Aiken Spring in the vast desert, the spring eye is like boiling water, which keeps rolling and rising. After a long period of precipitation, the sulfur minerals around the spring eye form a colorful and unusual pupil shape, like an eye embedded in the earth. Visit Mangya Emerald Lake in the afternoon, and then continue to stay in Huatugou.

Attractions: Aiken Spring Devil's Eye, Mangya Emerald Lake.

Mileage: 260 kilometers, 4 hours by car.

Route: Starting from Huatugou, passing through Laomangya, Cucumber Beam and Oberliang. Oberlian is independent of other sandy lands in Ya Dan, with dense forests, overlooking the dense and mysterious ghost town landform nearby, as if being on Mars. In journey to the south, vehicles pass through the endless Gobi and Ya Dan landforms, and unknown salt lakes dot the roads. In the afternoon, after passing through Lenghu and Aksai, I visited the Ya Dan landform of Lenghu (a ghost town in Qinghai) and arrived at Dunhuang, which is located on the Silk Road and Hexi Corridor, and is the "dream sand country and the world Buddha capital". Ji Xianlin once said: "The four major civilization systems in the world: China, Indian, Greek and Islamic; The meeting place is Dunhuang. "

Route: Take a bus to the Mogao Grottoes, which is known as the "Oriental Louvre" and the "Four Grottoes in China". In the Mogao Grottoes, flying murals are immortal. After the visit, go to Crescent Spring in Mingsha Mountain at 3 pm. You can ride a camel and spend the night in Dunhuang during the visit.

Route: Depart from Dunhuang, pass through Guazhou and Yumen, and arrive at Jiayuguan Guancheng, the "City of Steel and Xiguan of the Great Wall" standing in Gobi at around 2 pm. Along the way, you can overlook the perennial snow on the top of Qilian Mountain and the spectacular and scattered wind power stations on the Gobi Desert. More than two thousand years ago, Huo Qubing, a title of generals in ancient times in the Western Han Dynasty, fought in Hexi. Now you can vaguely feel the legendary eventful years through the window. Drive to Linze County to stay at night.

Attractions: Yumenguan, Jiayuguan and Qilian Mountains.

Mileage: 550 kilometers, driving for 5.5 hours.

Route: Depart from Linze and visit colorful Danxia in Zhangye in the morning. Then, cross Ebao Town, reach Qilian Prairie, cross Dadongshuguan (4120m above sea level), and come to Menyuan to enjoy hundreds of miles of rape fields (opened in early July). Overlooking the Gangshika Snow Mountain (5,254 meters), crossing Dabanguan (3,940 meters), taking a look at Heiquan Reservoir, and finally reaching Xining, the terminal, ending the impressive trip of the Great Northwest Ring Road.

Mileage: 420 kilometers, driving for 6.5 hours.

1. Safety: Hoh Xil not only has a bad climate, but also has wild animals such as wolves and brown bears in the depths. Do not cross without permission. Ordinary tourists can only go to Sonandaje Monument to watch Hoh Xil at most.

2. Altitude sickness: The altitude near Hoh Xil, Frozen Spring and Kunlun Mountain Pass is about 4,600 meters, which is prone to altitude sickness. You can carry glucose, oxygen bottles and other anti-altitude sickness items in advance.

3. Ticket reservation: The Mogao Grottoes have the highest ticket quota every day, so you need to make an appointment in advance.

4. Mileage description: The self-driving Qinghai-Tibet Line, Northwest Great Ring Road and other tourist routes are far apart, and the whole journey is mostly in a desert no man's land. There is no sharp bend in the mountain road and you need to slow down. Therefore, even in road trip, it is normal to drive 400-500 kilometers every day, so there is no need to worry.

Eternal wasteland, stars and Haizi, mountains and peaks, endless grassland, constitute the memory of the Northwest Great Link. Looking at any domestic tourist route, no one can be as boundless, wild, deep, gentle and sincere as the Great Northwest Link.
