Five misunderstandings of "Golden Week" tourism vigilance

On the occasion of the "Eleventh" Golden Week, the tourism department of Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, on the basis of comprehensive analysis of summer tourism complaints, reminded consumers to be alert to five major misunderstandings and ensure the quality and safety of tourism.

Myth 1: Choose a travel agency only by price. Reducing travel cost is the main means for some travel agencies to attract tourists, but too low travel cost will inevitably affect the quality of tourism, leading to an increase in self-funded items, a reduction in accommodation standards and even compulsory shopping. Therefore, tourists should try to choose the tourism products that suit them, not just the price.

Myth 2: Ignoring the safety of the journey. Casualties occurred from time to time in the past summer vacation, so travelers must pay attention to traffic, sightseeing and food safety.

Myth 3: "Shopping tour". Shopping rebate is one of the main sources of tour guide income in many travel agencies. Passengers who choose shopping tours should make full preparations for shopping on the way and try not to buy valuables at tourist attractions to avoid being fooled.

Myth 4: Unreasonable handling of disputes. If there are problems such as service quality during the tour, tourists should first negotiate with the travel agency and try to solve them as soon as possible. They must not take irrational actions such as "strike, stop living, strike" to avoid affecting the quality of travel. Visitors can also complain to the local tourism quality supervision department.

Myth 5: Do not carefully review the travel contract. Many travelers, out of trust in travel agencies, often do not carefully examine when signing travel contracts, leading to disputes. Therefore, when signing a travel contract with a travel agency, passengers must explain the food, accommodation, transportation, shopping and entertainment in the travel process as detailed as possible. In the annex to the contract, the itinerary, scenic spots, time and included items should be listed.
