Persimmon leaf red or maple leaf red?

Maple leaves are redder than persimmon leaves.

Maple leaves turn red in autumn, because the decrease of temperature leads to the increase of carotene synthesis. When the temperature is cool, the green pigment in the trees gradually decomposes, exposing the previously covered carotene. This makes the maple leaves appear bright orange, red or purple. The color change of persimmon tree is caused by the increase of anthocyanin content, which gives it a deep, rich and even colorful red color.
