1. Tengchong is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Yunnan Province and administered by Baoshan City. It is located in the southwest of Yunnan Province and in the west of Baoshan City. It is connected to Longyang District in the east and Longling County and Liang County in the south. It borders He County, Yingjiang County and Myanmar Union State to the west, and Lushui City, Nujiang Lisu Autonomous Prefecture to the northeast. The urban area is 606 kilometers away from the provincial capital Kunming, 200 kilometers away from Myitkyina, Myanmar, and 602 kilometers away from Ledo, India. It is an important gateway and node for China to South Asia and Southeast Asia.
2. Tengchong tourist attractions include:
(1) The Yunnan-Burma Anti-Japanese War Museum was completed and opened on July 7, 2005. The museum is located at the former 20th Group Army Headquarters of the Chinese Expeditionary Force. on the old site. The museum houses more than 3,500 World War II cultural relics, including cultural relics from the Chinese Expeditionary Force, the Chinese Army in India, the U.S. and British Allied Forces, and the People's Resistance War.
(2) The National Memorial Cemetery is a cemetery commemorating the fallen soldiers of the 20th Expeditionary Army in the victory over Tengchong during the Anti-Japanese War. It is located at the northern foot of Laifeng Mountain and covers an area of ??53,300 square meters. It was established in July 1945. Opened on the 7th. It is a national key cultural relic protection unit and a provincial patriotism education base.
(3) Tengchong Confucian Temple, also known as Xuegong and Xuexue, is located in Tengchong city and is a large-scale group building. It is the only relatively well-preserved academy west of the Nujiang River and the only ancient building complex left over from the Anti-Japanese War in Tengchong City.
(4) Tengchong Volcano National Geopark is characterized by ancient volcanic geological relics and associated geothermal springs. There are 97 volcanic bodies in the park, of which 25 have completely preserved volcanic forms.
(5) Tengchong Hot Sea is located 20 kilometers southwest of Tengchong City, covering an area of ??about 9 square kilometers. There are more than 80 large gas springs and hot spring groups.
