What does BNO passport mean?
BNO passport: British national (overseas passport BN(O) is a British passport issued to Hong Kong residents with British national (overseas status) in July 1987 in response to the transfer of sovereignty in Hong Kong.
The difference between BNO passport and British passport
The HKSAR passport is also called the HKSAR passport. This passport can't prove the identity of the holder. China only regards it as a travel document, not a proof of nationality.
