Advertise the Paracel Islands to attract people to travel
For most people who have been to Hainan Island, they think they have set foot on China’s southernmost island. In fact, when you open the atlas of China, you will find yourself in the deep blue sea of ??the South China Sea, among the red coral reefs and Hidden behind the blue water icon is a place called the Paracel Islands. This is one of the southernmost islands in China and one of the ten most beautiful islands in China. For people who have lived inland for a long time, Xisha is simply the last secret place outside the sea and the sky.
The Xisha Islands are one of the four major archipelagoes in the South my country Sea, and now belong to Hainan Province. Located in the southeast of Hainan Island. Centered on Yongxing Island. The Xisha Islands are distributed over an area of ??more than 500,000 square kilometers. There are more than 40 islands and reefs, mainly concentrated in two groups: the Xuande Islands to the east and the Yongle Islands to the west. Among the four major archipelagoes in the South China Sea, the Paracel Islands have the most land exposed to the sea. There is abundant rainfall all year round, and the water temperature in the sea near the island changes little from year to year. These superior natural conditions have formed the unique landscape of the Xisha Islands, with lush tropical plants growing all year round.
The Xisha Islands are attracting more and more tourists with their beautiful scenery, but traveling to the Xisha Islands is different from conventional tourism. There are many places that need to be paid attention to. If you are very yearning for the Paracel Islands but have no experience, you should pay careful attention to the following matters.
1. The most suitable time to go
The Xisha Islands are a typhoon-prone area. Traveling to the Xisha Islands should avoid traveling during the typhoon season. Typhoons begin in May in the Paracel Islands, and are most severe from August to October. Before going to Xisha, be sure to find out whether there has been a typhoon recently. It is common for people to be trapped on the island for a month and a half when a typhoon hits. The Xisha Islands have a tropical maritime monsoon climate, which is hot and humid, but does not have severe heat. For example, the annual average temperature of Yongxing Island is 26℃-27℃, the average temperature in January is 23℃, and the average temperature in June is 29℃.
Remind everyone that the ultraviolet rays in Xisha are extremely strong. It feels like the Master has been exposed to the sun all the time. Sunscreen with SPF40 or above must be prepared, and sun hats and sunglasses are essential. You should also carry mosquito coils, wind oil essence, and medicines to treat colds and gastroenteritis with you. The water in Xisha is clear and charming, so remember to bring swimming goggles, swimsuit (pants) and a pair of waterproof sandals. Friends who like diving should also bring the three treasures of diving (mask, fins, snorkel).
Friends who like fishing remember: a pair of high-quality fishing rods, sufficient fishing hooks, and fishing lines will allow you to have unexpected harvests; bring DV tapes, film, and large-capacity memory sticks (it’s best to store them in a waterproof bag with the camera).
2. How to get to the Paracel Islands
The Paracel Islands are located between Hainan Island and the Zhongsha Islands atoll, and together with the East, Central and Nansha Islands, they form the southernmost territory of China. The Paracel Islands consist of 32 islands, 8 atolls, 1 platform reef and 1 independent reef.
Yongxing Island is currently not officially open to travelers. Ordinary travelers can only go to the Paracel Islands in the name of special inspections. The transportation is to take the "Qiongsha No. 2" supply ship that departs from Qinglan Port in Wenchang City, Hainan Island around the 20th of each month. One-way flight takes 13 to 15 hours.
"Qiongsha 2" travels to and from Woody Island in the Paracel Islands once a month. It sails at 17:00 and docks at Woody Island from 8:00 to 10:00 the next day, stopping for one In the evening, return at 17:00 on the third day. However, the number of places that can be boarded each time is limited, so be sure to contact us in advance before going, and do not act rashly.
You can also rent a fishing boat to go to the Paracel Islands. The round trip takes about 7 days. Although the price is high, it can be reduced a lot since there are many people and the AA system is shared equally.
Special Tips:
1. The reception conditions of Xisha Islands are very limited. They can only receive more than 100 tourists a year, even less except for typhoon season. I personally want to go to Xisha Islands. You can only apply to a tourism organization that can handle Xisha inspections.
2. There is no signal for mobile phones in the Xisha Islands. If you want to contact the outside world, you can only go to the only post office on Yongxing Island to make a public phone call or an IC card phone. There are no internet cafes on the island either.
3. There is a post office on Woody Island. The mail is sent out when the supply ship arrives. It may take a month to receive such a letter, but the letter sent back from the island It has more commemorative and collection significance.
4. You must bring more film. If you are not a professional photographer, a digital camera with large memory is also good. It is a pity that the unique scenery here does not leave memories.
5. The "Qiongsha No. 2" boat ride is very bumpy and seasickness medicine is essential.
It’s best to bring some fruits with you, as there are no fruits for sale on the island
