The traffic from home to balague is a bit complicated. There are no direct flights in Nanning, some cities have direct flights to Shangri-La Diqing Airport, and I need to fly from Nanning to Kunming.

It's really good to make a cup of tea to relieve mental fatigue after a hard day's journey. I know I'm going to visit tomorrow morning, but I'm still used to staying up late when I get to a new place. I sat for a long time, listening to the gurgling water outside the window and drinking tea.

Get up for breakfast the next day, the breakfast provided by the hotel is still very rich, and there is basically no problem of bad taste and unaccustomed eating. There are coarse grains, rice noodles, porridge, milk buns and steamed bread. Tourists from all directions can adapt.

Opposite the hotel is the plank road built by the ancestors of Bala people before there was no access here. In the past, caravans relied on this narrow and steep road to communicate and trade with the outside world.

The plank road is halfway up the mountain, and the newly built road is flat and open below. It's hard to imagine how to build a mountain and a road bit by bit. Especially at this high altitude.

One of the characteristics of Tibetan food is meat, meat and meat, which is just suitable for me, who only eats meat and doesn't eat vegetables.

Moreover, most of the meat here is domesticated and stocked, and it tastes particularly good.

Today's arrangement is to visit balague's residence in the Grand Canyon. Take sightseeing bus to the meeting place first, and then you can see the plank road at the entrance of the scenic spot. Just go straight along the plank road.

Due to the continuous rain, the water in the canyon has become turbid and yellow, and will turn green in a few days. I think it will look better then.

The distant mountains are continuous, and the sunny weather is the scenery of the plateau.

When you get to the upper reaches of the valley, you can choose the rafting project and return to your original place by kayaking (this project is not included in some packages, so please buy it carefully). If you don't choose this project, you need to go back the same way, that is, go back to the road you have traveled. This road is not short, and it is in the plateau area (strenuous exercise in the plateau area is easy to lack oxygen, and it is easier to get tired than the flat land).

When we arrived, the weather was fine, but it was always sunny. The temperature difference here is great, and the weather is changeable. At the same time, the ultraviolet rays in the plateau are also very strong, so we should pay attention to sun protection. When the sun comes out, although the weather forecast says the temperature is not high, the somatosensory temperature is much higher than the weather forecast. And the sun is white and dazzling, so you'd better wear sunglasses.

The source of the canyon is a pond as blue as sapphire.

When you reach the source, you need to return by kayak. Of course, you can also walk back long distances.

Peak: turning mountains into water into stupas.

After the first day's trip to the canyon, several scenic spots to be visited today are all places with different styles and projects. Or take sightseeing bus and arrive at the first scenic spot "stupa".

The mountain here is very steep, and the repaired mountain road is very dangerous, although it looks stable, because the mountain is too high and the altitude difference is too big. The wandering mountain road is very heavy and keeps turning. Walking is complicated, not to mention exploration before road construction, not to mention the time to really build roads. It is said that this road has been built for many years.

The scenery along the way is infinite, so keep pressing the shutter.

A viewing platform halfway up the mountain has a wide view, with a mountain road at the foot and towering mountains behind it. It's really cool to take pictures here. In order to get a chic effect, I turned around and threw up my skirt. I was out of breath without turning twice. Our journey is all the way up to the sacred "stupa" in the hearts of Bala people. So the altitude will be higher and higher.

The car stopped in front of a meadow at an altitude of 4250 meters. This is the first scenic spot "stupa" today.

Infinite open scenery and infinite plateau sky make people want to run against the wind when they get off the bus, but the plateau area really can't complete such an action.

Theoretical Shanghai

Pulling more than 4000 meters will produce altitude sickness. But it is relatively mild, and what happens is that it is easy to gasp and feel dizzy when doing strenuous exercise. Basically, don't walk too fast or run, and you'll be fine. Anyway, none of us had obvious altitude sickness during our trip, and I heard that tourists had never seen it.

This is a sacred secret in the eyes of Bala people. Thousands of years ago, the ancestors of the Bala people moved here to escape the war. At that time, the wife of the tribal leader saved a blind monk, and the blind monk had a Buddha dream. He led the whole tribe to the wonderland mentioned in the Oracle. Until they found this place, there are rich meadows, distant rivers, dense jungles and a natural "stupa".

The mountain on the left in the picture below resembles the White Pagoda in Tibetan Buddhism. It has been regarded as a sacred mountain by the Bala people for generations, and the sacred mountain has blessed the self-sufficient life of the Bala people here for generations. The sun is shining, but in this empty grassland with few tourists, you will lose your grip and even want to open your arms and deeply embrace the passing wind.

The temperature in the plateau is low, the sun is big and the wind is strong. You don't know whether you are cold or hot, but it's better to keep out the cold in such a high place and try to bring a coat. I used it to warm the baby, but it didn't work in the end.

Balague has deep valleys, towering sacred mountains and natural pagodas. This is the real scene of the phrase "turning mountains into water into pagodas" in the lyrics of the opening song.

After visiting the stupa, take sightseeing bus to the next scenic spot.

Today's mountain road is also nine bends and eighteen bends.

Yun: There is the highest glass plank road in China on the plateau.

Today's second scenic spot, after getting off, you need to take an ordinary plank road to reach the last glass plank road observation deck. The cableway on the way is a newly developed project, which is still being debugged. It wasn't officially opened when we went, but it should be soon. After thinking about it, I think I'm afraid to play.

Experiencing this zip line at such a high altitude is probably the feeling of flying over clouds and mountains. You don't have the guts if you have the heart.

The weather is fine and the sky is mint blue.

Walking on this plank road takes about 40 minutes to rest and adjust. There are not many places to climb, and you can enjoy many beautiful scenery along the way, which is very pleasant.

As usual, walking on the glass plank road still needs shoe covers. It's really a pity that many tourists who are afraid of heights still dare not try.

In fact, as long as you don't stare at a single piece of glass, don't look at the terrible height below it, but look at the whole piece. This is a white cloud against the sky. The clear blue sky and white clouds are completely reflected on the glass, beautiful and romantic.

Deep: the dream home of Bala people

At the third stop today, it's my favorite lunch time again. Forgot to remind friends who didn't eat to read this article carefully.

Driving down the mountain, we arrived at Bala village, which is the home of Bala people for generations. Today's lunch was decided in the village, and it was still a rich Tibetan hot pot with meat, and all kinds of local livestock, such as yak and fragrant pig, were particularly fresh and tender. It was a beautiful day.

After eating and drinking enough, I walked out of the restaurant and was able to watch Bala Village carefully. For thousands of years, the Bala people have lived here in isolation, and only caravans have brought things in and out, which can be said to be a real paradise. But with the change of the outside world, people here are eager to communicate with the outside world, and people also want to see the outside world. Some people strive to explore the colorful new world outside, while others leave their homes in order to live a more modern and affluent life. Today, there are only more than 30 families left in the village.

When the natural barrier to the outside world is opened, the moat becomes a thoroughfare, people here go out and things outside come in. Bala village, which began to develop tourism, tried its best to keep up with the outside world in all aspects, such as this ultra-wide balcony, which had a panoramic view of the distant mountain flower fields, drank afternoon tea and looked at the beautiful scenery, and finally calmed down.

There are some sunflowers in this yard, which are very emotional. This courtyard is the ancestral home of Mr Snadingzhu, a developer in Jing Zong District, balague. He was born and brought up here. He is also a hero of balague people today.

Thousands of years ago, the heroes and tribal leaders of the Bala people moved here with their people, opening up a peaceful and productive home and creating a thousand-year peace in the blood of the Bala people. Thousands of years later, Mr. Nadine Zhu spontaneously funded the construction of a expressway leading to Shangri-La for his hometown. This construction lasted for more than ten years, and he invested a lot of money, manpower and energy.

Mr Snadingzhu accidentally hurt his eyes when he was young. His father went to Shangri-La for medical treatment behind his back for five days and five nights, but because of the long delay in treatment, Mr. Nadine Zhu was blind in one eye. Seeing the ever-changing world outside and his hometown being left behind for a long time, he decided to go to the outside world alone when he was 13 years old. In his eyes, there are not only colorful flowers in the world, but also a slightly lonely figure in his hometown. Some people here have never left their hometown, and some people have a hard life. So he decided to spend all his money to help build roads in his hometown. More than ten years have passed, and the rugged mountain road that originally took five days to walk has become a smooth road that takes more than 1 hour by car.

Sunflowers facing the sun symbolize the meaning of prosperity and self-improvement. This road to the outside world is actually the road from the outside world to here. From the beginning, I only hoped that there would be a road in my hometown, and now I hope that compatriots of all ethnic groups will come to see his name.

Nowadays, many residents in Bala Village are engaged in tourism construction and services, which is quite different from the poor and single life in those years. They have a better tomorrow.

Pure land: Mount Sumi in the mountains

At the last stop of today's scenic spot, the former temple was converted into a museum of Tibetan culture.

Many years ago, it was a temple, but now it has been transformed into a museum of Tibetan culture. In fact, it is still the nature of a temple, a solemn treasure and a bright oil lamp. Tibetan decorative fabrics are hand-made, made of gold thread and mineral pigments, and they are very pious to wear.

After the last scenic spot, I went to another hotel in the mountains, which is also a five-star hotel. This hotel is in the mountains, overlooking Bala village from a distance, and the scenery is outside the yard.
