Jiuzhaigou is a plateau area with a large temperature difference between morning and evening, and the weather is changeable! So, if you come here in July, bring a jacket to keep out the cold! Jiuzhaigou is located at the northern foot of Gaerna Peak in the southern section of the Minshan Mountains. It is a branch of the Yangtze River system at the source of the Jialing River. It is also the transition zone from the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau to the Sichuan Basin. It has a complex geological structure. The altitude difference here is huge, the climate is diverse, and the mountains and rivers are beautiful. The main ditch of Jiuzhaigou is "Y" shaped, with a total length of more than 50 kilometers. There are many lakes, waterfalls and travertine beach flows in the ditch. Water is the protagonist of Jiuzhaigou landscape. The crystal clear green stream intersects between the forest and the shoal like a necklace. The colorful lakes and majestic waterfalls are dazzling.

Primary forest covers more than half of Jiuzhaigou Valley. There are many kinds of plants in the forest. There are nearly 30,000 hectares of natural forest and more than 2,000 species of plants. A variety of wild animals breed and live here, including 170 species of vertebrates and 141 species of birds, 17 of which are protected by the state. The forest floor is covered with thick moss and scattered with feathers of birds and animals. It is full of the style of a primitive forest, making people feel like they are in a wonderful world.
