Jingyuetan was the first water source artificially built in 1934 to supply water to Changchun, which was called "water source" or "reservoir" during the occupation. Jingyuetan was named after Zheng Yu, the second son of Zheng, the Prime Minister of the Puppet Manchukuo, and was then the director of the National Infrastructure Construction Bureau of the Puppet Manchukuo. The forest in the scenic spot is artificially constructed, a complete forest ecosystem with 3 species, and its unique geographical advantages make it a "pure land in downtown". It has the reputation of "the largest artificial forest in Asia", "the pearl of the green sea" and "the oxygen bar of the city", and is the ecological green core and city business card of Changchun.
