General rules of regulations on the management of forest parks in Guangdong Province

These Regulations shall apply to the planning, construction, utilization, management and resource protection of forest parks within the administrative area of this province, as well as activities such as sightseeing, leisure, scientific investigation and cultural education in forest parks.

The term "forest park" as mentioned in these Regulations refers to an area based on forest resources, with a certain scale and quality of forest landscape resources and environmental conditions, which is approved to be established in accordance with legal procedures and can be used for people's sightseeing, leisure, scientific investigation and cultural and educational activities. The provincial forestry administrative department is responsible for the management of forest parks in the province.

City and county (including county-level cities, the same below) forestry administrative departments are responsible for the management of forest parks within their respective administrative areas.

Development and reform, land, environmental protection, urban and rural construction, water conservancy, culture, prices, industry and commerce, marine fisheries, tourism and other relevant departments are responsible for the relevant management of forest parks according to their respective responsibilities.

Forest park management agencies are responsible for the daily protection and management of forest parks. The funds for the construction and management of forest parks shall be raised through multiple channels and managed at different levels, and shall be subject to the management and supervision of the forestry administrative departments and financial departments at the same level.

The funds for infrastructure construction and personnel of forest park management institutions shall be determined by the financial department at the same level in conjunction with relevant departments according to different situations, and the source of funds shall be determined according to the principle of financial supply.
