The development status of Qingdao University School of Tourism

Dean Professor Ma Bo is a young and middle-aged academic leader in Shandong Province, a top professional and technical talent in Qingdao, and serves as an executive committee member of the China Tourism Academic Forum (CTA). His main research areas include: tourism industry economics, Regional tourism planning, and tourism culture.

The School of Tourism is a key discipline unit of Qingdao University. It currently has two departments: tourism management and hotel management, as well as a comprehensive tourism laboratory. The Tourism Research Institute of Qingdao University is also located in this college. The college has the right to award master's degrees in tourism management and recruits master's degree students in four research directions, namely tourism industry economics and policy, tourism enterprise management, tourism planning and project investment management, and tourism information management.

The school currently has 29 faculty members, including 4 professors, 10 associate professors (including associate researchers); 3 doctors, 12 masters; 9 master’s tutors, and 2 young and middle-aged academic backbones in the province. There are 2 school-level young and middle-aged academic leaders; there are 625 students in total, including 45 graduate students majoring in tourism management and 580 undergraduate students.
