Lightning protection requirements for ancient and famous trees

5. 1 The lightning protection of ancient and famous trees should adhere to the principles of prevention first, safety first, scientific and reasonable, and overall consideration.

5.2 The lightning protection of ancient and famous trees should be evaluated and demonstrated according to the method specified in GB/T 2 17 14.2.

5.3 The lightning protection design of ancient and famous trees should take corresponding lightning protection measures according to environmental conditions, geographical location, lightning activity law and the characteristics of protected objects.

5.4 The shape of lightning protection device should be coordinated with ancient and famous trees and natural landscape, and the color should match the surrounding environment.

D) Ancient and famous trees in areas with frequent lightning activities;

E) Ancient and famous trees in lightning-struck areas;

F) Old and famous trees, especially tall trees are in a prominent position in the wilderness.

6. 1. 1. 1 The choice of lightning arrester shall meet the technical requirements of lightning protection and will not affect the landscape of ancient and famous trees. The following arresters can be selected:

C) Lightning rod installed on the trunk;
