Is the Peru Free Travel Guide fun?
Peru borders Ecuador and Colombia to the north, and Brazil and Bolivia to the east. This is a tourist attraction. This time, it's a travel guide to the town of Ouyantai, Peru. If you are interested, take a look. It will be useful later.
Yantai is a small town 73 kilometers away from Cusco, with only more than 1,000 residents. According to the Ouyentai Tourism Bureau, the town of Oyentai is the only Inca village still inhabited. Visitors can explore the secrets of Inca culture from the ruined landscape. Visitors can see how people lived before Western culture. Not only is it the first stop at Machu Picchu, it is also the gateway to the times.
Before the end of April this year, the train from Cusco to Machu Picchu was adjusted to a passenger train, and the frequency was reduced. The train's starting point is no longer the Cusco train station. You have to take a bus and change to a train. The price is very high. Searching the official Peruvian train website, we learned that the trains from Ouyantai to Machu Picchu are running normally and there are many departures. In addition, many netizens said that Ouyantai is suitable for leisure and has an excellent environment. Ouyantai is 2,800 meters above sea level. In order to avoid the discomfort of altitude sickness, we decided to fly from Lima to Cusco, and then charter a car at the airport to Ouyantai. After two days of rest, we went to the most important stop, Machu Picchu. Taking a taxi from Cusco to Ouyantai takes about 2 hours and costs 100 pesos (1 pesos = 2RMB). If you take the bus, it costs 10 pesos per person and there are many trips.
Entering Ouyantai Town, surrounded by mountains, you can feel the strong traditional atmosphere of Inca culture under the blue sky and white clouds. Ou Yantai is the name of a general. He fell in love with the daughter of the ninth Inca king. His proposal was blocked and the princess was placed under house arrest. Yantai rebelled and became king, occupied the castle, gave birth to a daughter, and fell in love for ten years. Eventually, the king tricked and captured Ouyantai. The tenth Inca king was moved by Ouyantai's story, pardoned them, and married them. There is an epic story of the European Flying Geese in the world. Later generations built a temple in memory of Ou Yantai, but unfortunately it was not completed and the outline was left. Now there is a boulder on the mountain that looks like it has someone's face imprinted on it. Locals said Ou Yantai never left. This touching legend of Ouyantai is enough to impress tourists.
Our Sol Hotel is located close to the square, facing the mountains and overlooking the mountain climbing scene. Pushing open the balcony door, the stream is gushing and the outer wall is covered with roses.
You can see the living conditions of local people around the Plaza Mayor. Most residents wear traditional clothing. Women's black hair, both young and old, is tied in braids. Most often they have a colorful striped scarf slung over their shoulders with something or a baby inside. They don't speak English, but they are simple and friendly. Tip them when taking photos, only 1-3 pesos. Seniors will refuse $1 bills, so prepare change in pesos. A lady at the front desk told us that the elderly in Ouyantai advocate and inherit the Inca lifestyle, eat more corn, avoid tobacco and alcohol, love labor, and live a long life. People in the town believe in the sun god, especially the elderly.
The main tourist project in Ouyantai is climbing Ouyantai. Buses carry tourists in waves, and there are sun hats and walking sticks at the entrance. There are package tickets for attractions including Cusco and Ouyantai, priced at 70 pesos and 130 pesos respectively, without single tickets. There are ruins such as the Temple of the Sun and the Magical Monolith. In the mountains. If you have good physical strength, you can climb up along the terraces, there are steps on the side. If you are interested, you can walk from morning to sunset. We gave up climbing the mountain. From a distance, there were very few people on the mountain. Under the blue sky and white clouds, tourists wearing various colors are exploring the life relics of the ancient Incas.
The people at the information office told us that March is the low season, with about 1,000 tourists every day, and the peak season is between 3,000-4,000 people. All the hotels and inns were full. The mountain that tourists climb is called PINKKUYFLUNA, and it is their favorite project. There are many Inca festivals in May with performances in the squares. Ouyantai has a rainy season and a dry season throughout the year, with temperatures ranging from 15 degrees to 25 degrees throughout the year. There is a primary school and a secondary school in the town. Many young people go to Cusco to study and work, and there are also many older people in the town.
There are many restaurants around
There are stone pavements, stone houses, fruit-bearing cactus hanging from the eaves, and the branches are full of small roses. An ancient canal runs along the house, where residents washed their clothes. There are many hotels and inns of different sizes and sizes. Walking on the street and taking photos, it really feels like stepping back in time. We stayed in Yantai for 3 nights and had to leave due to travel arrangements. It must be very pleasant to stay there for a while and have plenty of time.
Ouyantai Railway Station is not far from the square. It's only a ten minute walk away. There is a slope. To save energy, you can ride a tricycle. One way is 6 pesos. There is a ticket office at the train station. In the off-season, you can buy train tickets to Machu Picchu one day in advance. There is a bus station next to it, and there are many minibuses to Cusco and other places. Yantai is a mature tourist destination. At the hotel, free maps and other information are available from the information office.
We basically have no obvious reaction to high reaction. The hotel offers a tea made from the leaves of the plant, which is said to reduce high reflectivity. On the way back to Cusco, which is 3390 meters above sea level, we bought SOROJCHI tablets at Ouyantai Pharmacy, 10 tablets for 30 pesos. We tell you to take one tablet three times a day, and the main ingredients are aspirin, Fenbid and caffeine.
We tried to reduce strenuous activities in Cusco after taking it. Apart from poor sleep, there was no obvious high reaction.
In March, the temperature in Yantai is low in the morning and evening, so you need to wear a sweater or jacket. Camel quilts are provided. The sun is very strong at noon in South America, so you need sun protection.
