"Nostalgic" northeastern city: the teaching building in the 1970s is still there, and the hotel is called the Revolutionary Committee Guest House

After breakfast, the emperor walked more than 2 kilometers round trip to the post office in the center of the city to get his stamp stamped. The little girl in the post office asked the emperor where he came from. After learning that it was Shenzhen, he said: a rich man.

It seems that the people in the mainland still don’t know much about us donkeys who love traveling. Many times, there is no absolute dependence between real travel and economic strength. Soft strengths such as mentality, health, and pursuits may be more important.

At around 9 a.m., we boarded the Nehe express train bound for Harbin. This train is a double-decker tourist train, and the air conditioning is extremely cold and uncomfortable. Since leaving Jiagedaqi and heading south, we have slowly said goodbye to the Greater Khingan Mountains. The scenery along the way is unique. The forests are no longer replaced by large tracts of wetlands and farmland, and the population has begun to become denser.

At 9:56, the bus arrived in Qiqihar. Because we had to change trains and rush to Baicheng City, Jilin Province in the afternoon, we found a room with Internet access in a small hotel in front of the station and agreed to check out at 4 p.m. for a price of 30 yuan. The village women were doing laundry and the emperor was writing his diary. No one was idle.

At 15:00, we walked 3 kilometers round trip to the post office in the city center to get our stamps stamped, and packed two lunch boxes at the hotel.

At 16:50, we boarded the k550 express train bound for Dalian. We arrived in Baicheng City at 19:50 that night and checked into the Hecheng Hotel in front of the station. The room was large and had a double bed. It's bigger, has Internet access, and the price including breakfast is 100 yuan/night, which is great value.

Seeing this, you may wonder why we always take the train section by section instead of choosing to go directly to the sleeper? Because our trip is very special, in fact it is "living on the road". Therefore, never rush unless absolutely necessary. We set a rule for ourselves: it is best not to take more than 5 hours of continuous driving every day, and try to choose trains as much as possible, and try not to spend the night on the bus. Instead, choose to get off the train and spend the night in a county or a city above the county seat. The village woman said, we are already displaced, how can we continue to wrong ourselves on the issue of sleep? What's more, not getting enough rest will greatly affect the quality of your trip.

Therefore, the same is true for wealth, and the same is true for Baicheng. It is not for seeing anything, just for a good sleep.

After breakfast the next day, the village woman was organizing her blog at home, while the emperor went out to stroll the streets of Baicheng alone.

In China, where double syllables are prevalent all over the world, "White" City is unique among cities with single syllables as their names. Historically, Baicheng was once named "Chaganhot". In Mongolian, "Chagan" means white, and "hot" means city. Together they are the White City. As for why it is called Baicheng, there is no way to verify it. Since the place where he went to the countryside was very close to here, the emperor guessed that the land here is a saline-alkali land. In spring, summer and autumn, alkali seeps out to the surface, making it look white. In winter, the heavy snow cover is also a sea of ??silver. Perhaps it is from this that name.

Although we only used Baicheng as a place to spend the night, we did some homework before coming. Baicheng is located in the northwest of Jilin Province, between the Nenjiang Plain and the Horqin Grassland. It has two national nature reserves - Xianghai and Momoge Nature Reserves. Among them, Xianghai Nature Reserve is a world-class A-level wetland and is known as the "Crane Township". It is the habitat of rare birds such as red-crowned cranes and Chinese fall ducks. When we first saw this information, our admiration for nature was immediately ignited.

However, after reading many travel notes and consulting with several locals, the high enthusiasm immediately cooled down to zero. Because the wetland no longer exists, and Crane Township has become a legend.

This is the fundamental reason why we only use Baicheng City as a place to stay overnight.

This is a city that advocates white and a city that loves cleanliness.

At 11:10 a.m., the train left Baicheng City and continued southward.

This road is another scenery. The Horqin grassland in the early years has now been turned into fertile farmland, but white salt-alkali land can still be seen from time to time on the roadside. Thirty-seven years ago, the emperor went to the countryside in this area to receive re-education from poor and lower-middle peasants. He hoeed the fields, harvested corn, let pigs drive carriages, and built "dry base" houses. However, because the emperor at that time had special skills, he only worked with the poor and lower-middle peasants for two or three months after going to the countryside before he was transferred to the Mao Zedong Thought and Literature Propaganda Team of the state-owned Shuangliao Sheep Breeding Farm. According to the emperor's recollection, the Horqin Grassland was a vast expanse of blue, with lush green grass but no one there. It was really only when the wind blew and the grass was low that you could see cattle and sheep playing in it. Comparing today and tomorrow, the changes are so huge, it is naturally sad:

Grassland has turned into farmland, is it a blessing or a misfortune?

The train did not stop when it passed the Baoshitu railway station where the emperor went to the countryside.

Fortunately, the speed was not very fast, so we could still take a good look at the scenery along the line. The changes that made the emperor sigh were:

1. (4) The Ping-Qi (Qihar) railway line has been repaired;

2. A wind power generation base has been built in the Baoshitu area. Nearly a hundred wind turbines stand tall, and the impellers rotate with the wind, which is a spectacular sight;

3. Dry beating on the roadside in the early years All the mud houses have now been replaced by brick houses;

4. Parallel to the railway is a black asphalt road. More than 30 years ago, the road here was dusty on sunny days, and became a muddy and difficult-to-walk "cement" road on rainy days.

At 3 pm, we got off the bus at Zhengjiatun Railway Station, where the Shuangliao Municipal Government is located in Jilin Province, and checked into the government hotel (very strange, there is someone with this name!). The emperor accidentally discovered that the hotel duty room The mirror still reads "Shuangliao County Revolutionary Committee Guesthouse".

It’s so nostalgic!

After putting down our bags, we immediately took an electric tricycle to Shuangliao County No. 2 Middle School in the suburbs. In 1972, the emperor ended his high school life here and became an intellectual youth sent to the countryside.

Shuangliao No. 2 Middle School has now built a brand new teaching building. However, the bungalow classroom where the emperor studied is still there. We wandered around the empty campus for a long time, and finally met a female teacher. After chatting for a few words, we suddenly realized that it is summer vacation! The emperor asked her about the two teachers who had taught him. However, this young female teacher turned out to be completely clueless. Alas, after all, it happened nearly 40 years ago. Times have changed, and those old friends and past events have all returned to dust.

What made the emperor sigh was that although Zhengjiatun City had undergone tremendous changes and the No. 2 Middle School had also built a new building, the road from the city center to the No. 2 Middle School was still the same dirt road as before.

People should not forget history, but they must not indulge in it. Otherwise, it is really easy to feel sad and sad (2009-08-05, 6).
