Batang County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province is an important post station where Ganzi, Sichuan meets Mangkang, Tibet on the famous 318 line. Zhubalong Nature Reserve is located at the junction of Juba Long Township and Suvalong Township in the south-central part of Batang County on Line 318. It spans 99~9997 east longitude, 293,823 ~ 294,855 north latitude and is 19 kilometers long from north to south.
The highest elevation in the area is 596m, and the lowest elevation is 268m. The annual average temperature is between 11.4 and 16, the number of days greater than or equal to 1 can reach 19-27 days, the accumulated temperature is 31-4741, the annual average precipitation is 3~5mm, and the annual sunshine is 1916-245 hours.
The nature reserve is located on the bank of Jinsha River, with criss-crossing mountains and rivers, complex terrain, deep peaks and valleys, and towering cliffs on both sides, becoming a typical V-shaped valley. Due to the influence of special terrain and traffic conditions, the activities of indigenous people in the reserve are mainly concentrated near National Highway 318. Most of the protected areas include deciduous broad-leaved forest to alpine meadow, with complex terrain, rich species and minimal human disturbance. The forest remains in a primitive closed state, and a large area of alpine meadow is not used. The whole nature reserve has maintained its original natural state and the natural ecological environment is in good condition. It belongs to the nature reserve, is less affected by human activities and is in good natural condition.

In addition to dwarf rock sheep, there are 21 species of national first-class protected animals such as leopard, snow leopard, golden eagle and hazel-tailed chicken, 21 species of national second-class protected animals and 5 species of provincial key protected animals. The vegetation in this area is mainly alpine shrub meadow, followed by subalpine shrub meadow and forest meadow. Its representative vegetation mainly includes Nitraria tangutorum, Artemisia annua, Datura flower, Rhododendron, Lonicera japonica, Quercus acutissima, Alpine pine, Abies firs, Sequoia, Birch and Poplar.
Because there are more than 1 endangered dwarf sheep in this area all over the world, according to the document No.45 of Sichuan Provincial People's Government (97), ZhuBa Long Nature Reserve in Batang County is listed as a provincial nature reserve, so it is also a breeding ground for dwarf sheep, a key protected wild animal in Sichuan Province. Domestic and foreign industry experts come to the reserve to inspect and collect specimens.
Bamboo Cage Nature Reserve is only 3 kilometers away from Batang County, and it is also on the edge of Jinsha River. The watchtower across the river is Zhubalong in Tibet. To go to the nature reserve, you have to go to this small village called Zhu Ba Long, a small place on the Sichuan border. There is no crowd, no commercial atmosphere, only the rushing Jinsha River water and the red house hidden by the mountain stream.
There are many traditional Tibetan houses in this secluded town, with prices ranging from 15 to 2.
