Foreign citizens who come to China under any of the following circumstances are exempted from applying for a visa:

4. Holders of a valid permanent residence permit for foreigners of the People’s Republic of China.
5. Holders of valid APEC business travel cards. The APEC Business Travel Card is equivalent to a 3-year multiple-visit visa. The cardholder can use the travel card and a valid passport consistent with the card to enter China multiple times within the validity period of the travel card. 6. Go to the Pearl River Delta and Hainan Island.
(1) Foreigners who hold ordinary passports from countries that have diplomatic relations with China and are already in Hong Kong and Macao may enter the Pearl River Delta region of Guangdong (referring to Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Traveling to Foshan, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen, Zhaoqing, and Huizhou City (administrative districts under the jurisdiction of Foshan, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen, Zhaoqing, and Huizhou City) and staying for no more than 6 days is exempted from visa application.

7. Citizens of Singapore, Brunei and Japan.
Citizens of Singapore, Brunei and Japan who hold ordinary passports and come to mainland China for tourism, business, visiting relatives and friends or transiting for no more than 15 days can enter the country through ports open to foreigners in China. No need to apply for a visa. However, in the following situations, a visa must be obtained in advance: (1) Holding an ordinary passport to travel, do business, or visit relatives and friends in China with an expected stay of more than 15 days;
(2) Holding an ordinary passport Passport for study, work, settlement, official visits, interviews and reports in China.
