Yaris driving recorder

For riders who have just bought a driving recorder, in addition to correct installation, parameter setting is also an important step in the use process. If the parameters are not set properly, it will affect the normal use. It doesn't work at critical times. For example, if the motion detection function is turned on while driving, it can only record for 30 seconds-1 minute. When the car is driving, it can't detect the moving reference objects on both sides of the road, and then it will stall. So how to set the parameters correctly? Here are some suggestions from Bian Xiao:

First, the resolution setting

At present, the camera supports 480P, 720P, 1080P resolution, that is, 480P: it can shoot 640*480 VGA image quality; 720P: You can shoot 1280*720p video; 1080P: You can shoot the video of 1920* 1080. The higher the resolution, the larger the memory. Bian Xiao suggested a resolution of 720P, that is, 1280*720 SD is enough. Usually, the AVI format with a duration of 3 minutes takes up about 200M of memory.

Second, the motion detection function

The original intention of the motion detection function is to let the recorder record when the lens picture changes, and not record when it does not change (because it wastes memory and is meaningless). However, at present, motion detection is done by software. Sometimes when the picture changes little, such as traffic jams, traffic lights and so on, the picture changes little. In this case, the machine stopped recording, resulting in some pictures not being recorded. So turn off this function when driving, and you may miss the key screen when you turn it on.

Three, cycle video duration settings:

The recording time of the video recorder is set to 1, 3, 5, 10 and 15 minutes. If long-distance driving is required, it is recommended to set an unlimited time or a period of 10 minutes. But once it is set to unlimited time, if the machine fails or the memory card fails, then all the videos are gone. Therefore, for the sake of safety, Bian Xiao thinks that it is best to set up 10 minute loop video for long-distance travel; If you usually drive to and from work, just set it to a 3-minute loop video.

Fourth, whether to set automatic shutdown.

If your car is parked in an unattended place, don't set the automatic shutdown. At this time, the motion detection function is turned on, which can be used as monitoring. At other times, if the recorder uses the ignition switch to automatically record, it is recommended to set it to automatically shut down after power failure to stop recording.
