Tourist guide to Gupo Mountain in Hezhou, Guangxi

Gupo Mountain in Hezhou, Guangxi is a scenic spot with excellent natural landscape and beautiful internal environment. Many leisure projects have also been developed, among which local drifting has attracted many tourists, and all kinds of mountains and rivers are picturesque.

The scenery of Gupo Mountain is no less than Maoer Mountain and no less than any other mountain. I dare say it is the most beautiful mountain in Guangxi, but because its name is too old-fashioned, many tourists will be biased against it and think it looks like an "old woman" and doesn't sound as good as Maoer Mountain.

Actually, I thought so at first, but when I drifted all the way to the border of Guangxi and happened to witness this "Gupo Mountain" with my own eyes, I was deeply attracted by its majestic beauty. Here, ravines are criss-crossing, streams are gurgling, cliffs are precipices, and clouds are lingering, covering the Jade Peak.

The magnificent Xiangu Waterfall, Yulong Waterfall, Maben Waterfall and Luohan Waterfall descended from the sky from four different directions, such as thundering waves, rushing down, forming rugged, deep or shallow, bumpy gullies. There seems to be a waterfall in the ravine, which is a strange sight of rapids splashing.

Gupo Mountain is called Gupo Mountain because of a beautiful myth and legend. It is said that in the late Sui and early Tang Dynasties, Gupo Mountain was named "Paradise Mountain". At the foot of Paradise Mountain, there is a quiet and peaceful village where simple and kind villagers live. Unexpectedly, the plague broke out. According to legend, there is ganoderma lucidum on the mountain of heaven, and wolves, tigers and leopards haunt it. The steep terrain and dark cliffs can cure the plague.

A handsome young man, with the support of his unmarried wife Hong Miao, went to Paradise Mountain alone to look for Ganoderma lucidum, but he didn't hear from her for several days and never heard from her again.

Miss Hong is very anxious and worried about her fiance's safety. She broke into Paradise Hill alone to look for her fiance. After seven days of silence, she found ganoderma lucidum, a magical grass, and sent it back to the villagers to eat. She led an honest and clean life for her fiance and never got married.

Hong Miao also changed from a beautiful young woman to a sickly old aunt, and suddenly disappeared one day. In memory of her, the villagers renamed Paradise Mountain Gupo Mountain, which is the fairy-tale Gupo Mountain in front of us. There are more than a dozen waterfalls on Gupo Mountain, and the most shocking one is Xiangu Waterfall.

The sky fell from a 30-meter-high cliff, like a glittering white dragon hovering out of the hole, flying from one mountain to another. In that scene, it flies in the sky like a dragon, gently tests it with a head dozens of meters long, and then winds down, forming a grand scene of "Silver Dragon coming out of the hole", surrounded by green vines, shaded by trees and towering mountains.
