In summer and autumn, Baishi Mountain is more than 1,800 meters above sea level. On September 18, 2006, Laiyuan Baishi Mountain, Laishui Yesanpo National Geopark and Beijing Fangshan National Geopark jointly declared a world geopark and were approved by UNESCO as a world geopark.

On February 25, 2017, the National Tourism Administration announced that Baishi Mountain Scenic Area had been rated as a national 5A tourist attraction by the National Tourism Resources, Planning and Development Quality Assessment Committee. The marble peak forest at the core of Baishi Mountain is in its original natural state and is called the "Sigezhuang Rock Mass". It is a marble peak forest landform and a new type of Chinese peak forest landform.
