Donggongshan is located in Yangyuan Township, Zhenghe County, in the upper reaches of Yuanyang River in Pingnan County, a national scenic spot, with an area of about 10 square kilometers and the highest peak elevation of 1459 meters. Because a boulder in the mountain is in the shape of a "palace", the grotesque cave is also called the cave palace, hence the name "Donggong Mountain".
