Where is Shecun East Temple?

Shecun East Temple is a cultural relic protection unit in Henan Province.

Village-related East Temple is located in Houcun Village, a village-related town in the southeast mountainous area of gongyi city. There are Wu Zhiling in the east, Jinniu Mountain in the west, Songyue Mountain in the south, Panlong Mountain in the north, Houcun River in the southwest, and it flows into the Wuluo River in the west, commonly known as the "Forty-five Li Daoshui River".

Shecun East Temple is also called Jinshan Temple, Zhongyue Houmiao and Houcun Guandi Temple. Its founding date is unknown. Judging from the stone bed in the second year of Xuanhe in Song Dynasty (1 120), it was established in Song Dynasty at the latest. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, it was repaired many times. In the late 1930s, Zhiluo No.2 Middle School in Gongxian County (No.2 Central School in Zhiluo Township) was stationed here. 1945, after the retreat of the Eighth Route Army, Li Qingbiao and Wang Dianchen, the Kuomintang county brigade, set up a court execution ground in the temple, cutting off children-many revolutionaries, who were called hades by the people; After the founding of the People's Republic of China, it was changed to Gongxian Eighteen Anhui School; In the late period of the Cultural Revolution, due to the establishment of schools in various villages, schools were divided and Houcun schools continued to be used. The school moved away in the early 1980s. Now it is a place for religious activities in Houcun.

The temple faces south, 58 meters wide from east to west and 36 meters long from north to south, covering an area of 2,000 square meters. The temple is horizontally long, and the existing buildings such as the mountain gate, theater, Guan Temple, Zhongwang Hall, Notre Dame Hall, Temple, Sanguan Hall, Zushi Palace, Songzi Guanyin Hall, Baiyige, etc. are all hard-mountain brick and wood structures, with 2/kloc-0 rooms, 2 stone tablets 13 in Song, Ming and Qing Dynasties and 2 stone beds. In particular, the stone altar bed of the Song Dynasty was discovered. Although the stone carvings in the Song Dynasty are found in the Central Plains, the stone altar bed has clear age, clear inscription and exquisite carving, which provides precious materials for us to study the place names, culture and folk customs of Gongxian County in the Song Dynasty and has considerable historical value. The building has a long history and is basically well preserved, which has certain historical, cultural and artistic value. June 5438+February 65438+February 2007, gongyi city Municipal People's Government announced it as the second batch of cultural relics protection units. On June 16, 2008, the People's Government of Henan Province announced it as the fifth batch of key cultural relics protection units.

Houcun: Houcun is located at the location of 0 Shecun Town, a deep mountain area in the southeast of gongyi city, and S237 passes through the village from east to west. It is the center of political, economic, cultural and commercial activities involving villages and towns. There are 526 households 1920 people in the village, and there are 8 villager groups. The village covers an area of 2.5 square kilometers, including 832 mu of cultivated land, with a per capita of 0.43 mu. There is a 600-mu natural ecological forest in Pingdingshan, north of the village. Beautiful mountain environment, terraced trails, pavilions, is a good place for leisure and sightseeing. There are abundant coal, bauxite and underground mineral deposits in the south of the village.
