Liu Qiaoer's Liu Qiaoer prototype

Feng was born in Fanpingzhuang, Zhuanzizi Village, Cheng Hao Township, Huachi County, Gansu Province on April 15th of the lunar calendar.

When he was young, Peng Er was betrothed to Zhang Jiabaier by his father. As they grow older, they often correspond and love each other. However, due to the poverty of the Zhang family, Peng Er was promised by his father to the Gao family, another family, the Zhang family and the Zhu family, but they were all rejected by Peng Er.

Seeing that his father was constantly worried about sleeping for Peng Er's husband's family and Zhang Baier's family, he gathered his men to break into houses at night, get Peng Er back and marry them. Feng Fu went to the county government to accuse the Zhang family of "robbing the daughter of the people", and the county judicial department declared the marriage invalid without making an in-depth investigation. The changeable marriage didn't make Peng Er lose his mind. Encouraged by the new life in the Shensi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region, Peng Er walked hundreds of miles to Qingyang City, where the secret service was stationed, and accused "the words of parents and matchmakers" of interfering in her marriage and the county anti-Japanese democratic government of matter of justice, striving for marriage autonomy.

At that time, Ma Xiwu, Commissioner of Longdong District and Dean of Longdong Branch of Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region High Court (Vice President of the Supreme People's Court after liberation), adopted the method of combining investigation, mediation and trial, cooperated with the county government to hold a mass meeting and publicly pronounced a verdict, which corrected the wrong judgment of Huachi County's anti-Japanese democratic government, so that all shall be well, and the "Ma Xiwu Trial Law" was born.

This civil case of marital autonomy not only made people around sit up and take notice, but also caused a sensation in the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia border region, becoming one of the eight famous cases in China in the 20th century. At that time, Yan 'an Liberation Daily, Chongqing Xinhua Daily and Longdong Daily reported on this one after another. Later, Han Qixiang, a famous artist, compiled it into the northern Shaanxi express book "Qiao Liu Reunion", and jing yuan, a teacher from Longdong Middle School, created the Shaanxi opera "Liu Qiaoer Complaining", which was widely circulated in the border area. After liberation, China Pingju made it into Pingju "Liu Qiaoer", which was starred by a famous actor and then put on the screen by changchun film studio, which made the story of "Liu Qiaoer" spread all over the country and even promoted the popularization of the first marriage law.

From then on, Peng Er had a household name-"Liu Qiaoer", and her story was even more household name. "Liu Qiaoer" has become a model for women in New China and a symbol of women's liberation. After becoming a celebrity who pursues his own happiness, all kinds of honors come one after another. As a rural woman, Peng Er also played a "famous" role, actively publicized the party's policies, advocated the new fashion of marriage and childbirth, and participated in the discussion of state affairs. She has served as a deputy to the provincial and county people's congresses, a member of the county CPPCC, a township women cadre, and attended the provincial model worker conference. Nowadays, leaders at all levels and ordinary people will go to Feng's residence to see the true face when they arrive in Huachi County. Therefore, from 1984 to 2003, with the support of the local government, Feng built three "New Houses in Er Qiao", and now there are three new "Liu Qiaoer Deeds Exhibition Halls".

In March, 2005, Huachi county party committee and county government listed "Liu Qiaoer's former residence" in the tourism planning of the former Soviet government in the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia border region, one of the national 100 red tourist attractions, and planned to build the "Longdong Women's Liberation Deeds Memorial Hall" for key development and construction.

In the special "Liu Qiaoer" story showroom, simple words, pictures and objects recorded the charm and twists and turns of this rural woman for most of her life.

In order to further improve the living environment of the prototype Feng, Huachi County invested 4910.6 million yuan last year to carry out the fourth construction of the "residence" and built a new "Er Qiao Fuju" residential area for the elderly. The newly completed "Er Qiao Fuju" has become an ideal place for the elderly Feng to spend their old age peacefully, and it has also become one of the important tourist attractions in the county.

Is Liu Qiaoer's brave marriage happy? Feng said that although she is in the countryside, she and her husband Zhang Baier are very loving and live in harmony. Until the death of Chamberlain 199 1, the couple hardly quarreled several times.

The old man's son said that in his memory, except for occasional quarrels, his father and mother never really blushed. Speaking of family harmony, husband and wife respect each other. Feng taught his own experience: "We should discuss things first, understand each other, be kind and communicate more."

After marriage, Feng often publicizes the marriage law with his own experience and teaches young people how to deal with love and marriage problems. Feng said that his two daughters, an adopted son and three nieces are free to fall in love and get married, and he never interferes. Not only that, Feng also actively urged other "junior" lovers to get married. Driven by Feng, a number of happy families such as "good mother-in-law", "good daughter-in-law" and "having fewer children and getting rich quickly" have sprung up in Baozi Village. According to the old man's son, since 1989, her mother has not participated in other social affairs or farm work except CPPCC activities, but she is very busy, fast and cheerful. In his octogenarian years, Feng founded a folk arts and crafts company under the name of "Liu Qiaoer" and registered trademarks such as "Er Qiao Paper-cut" and "Er Qiao sachet". His works have won a good reputation all over the country and become a humanistic "business card" for Huachi, Qingyang and even Gansu. Feng was also named "China Folk Arts and Crafts Master" by China Folk Arts and Crafts Committee.
