Detailed version of Xiamen University Travel Guide

Xiamen University is a popular online celebrity university and a well-known tourist attraction. It attracts tourists from all over the country every day, especially young couples who like to find romantic feelings and atmosphere in Xiamen University. Let’s introduce it in detail below.

Xiamen University has four campuses. Generally, the old campus Siming Campus is used for sightseeing.

: The four major campuses in Xiamen are:

1. Siming Campus (mainly a liberal arts college, commonly known as Xiamen People’s Park), as the only university in the country with its own beach, Xiamen University, Baicheng), in addition

2. Xiang'an campus (basically all science and engineering colleges are in Xiang'an, commonly known as Xiang'an Royal Institute of Technology)

3. Zhangzhou campus (Tan Kah Kee in the TV series College, Elliston School of Business)

3. Malaysia Campus (China’s first university to set up overseas schools).

The campuses are not close, so we often joke that other college teachers only take one car to attend class. Teachers at Xiamen University may need to take a boat or even a plane to attend class. Although you and your boyfriend have both been admitted to Xiamen University, you may be in a long-distance relationship, or even in a foreign country.

If you are a tourist, you must make a reservation in advance. Follow the official WeChat account "UXiamen University". Make a reservation three days in advance. Don't take any chances. You cannot enter Xiamen University without an appointment. Our Xiamen University Security Council teaches English and has a bachelor's degree in law, which is first-class and strict. You can't even get in without making a reservation for "Duanmu" ham.

Don’t listen to the scalpers at the door who say I can take you into the campus, because the moment you listen to the scalpers, you are not qualified to enter Xiamen University.

Xiamen University Visiting Route

First take the bus to Xiamen University Xicun Station, check in from the west gate, and you will see a "bird book" and two tall palm trees.

Go straight to the portrait of Mr. Tan Kah Kee, the owner of the school, visit the school history museum at the back, and then walk along the building. There is a bookstore you can check out.

The green roof building directly opposite the end of the building is the Science and Art Center. On the right hand side, there is a turntable. Walking towards the turntable, you can see the portrait of Lu Xun, who once taught at Xiamen University.

Climbing the hill behind the Lu Xun statue, you will see the majestic Jiannan Auditorium and winding fields.

Then go down the other end of the winding fields and you will reach three villages. When you see the fork in the road, walk along the road between ICBC and CCB, and you will arrive at Furong Tunnel.

The tunnel is more than a kilometer long, and there are a lot of graffiti inside that can be photographed. Please do not graffiti and protect students' paintings on the wall. Don't go to the end of the tunnel, just turn back where there are small shops and cafes in the middle. Go to the Xiamen student dormitory in Zengcuo_ and leave the campus.

After coming out of the tunnel, you can eat on the third floor of Furong Canteen (there are many canteens, but only this floor is open to tourists). You can also try the Eight-grandmother grass jelly in the store and the iced mung bean paste in the supermarket, and then go back to Sancun.

When you go to the right this time, you can see the old student apartment in Seremban Building 2, as well as the big tree destroyed by Typhoon Morant in front, and experience the scene of teachers and students fighting the typhoon together.

Further ahead is Furong Lake. From this perspective, Furong Lake is the best: directly opposite is a main building with four annex buildings. The tallest main building is the administrative office building. Are you comfortable looking at the elegant black swans in Furong Lake?

Walk along the right side of the lake and pass by an island in the middle of the lake where there are some sculptures. Afterwards, we passed by the library and came out from the south gate, ending our trip to Xiamen University.

Notes on Xiamen University travel

It will take about half a day to follow this itinerary. If you are in good health, you can walk directly from the south gate to Nanputuo Temple, climb to the top of the five old peaks in the temple, and watch the sunset. You can see the Petronas Towers and the sea at sunset. Really beautiful.

Then take a two- or three-stop bus ride from Nanputuo to Baicheng Beach in the evening (don’t go during the day, the beach is too sunny). If you still have the energy, you can take a car to visit the Zengcuo Night Market.

I don’t recommend Lover’s Valley. Although I'm in school, the mountain behind is too far away, and it's just a reservoir.

Walking around the campus

By the way, meals at Xiamen University are free for students.

Xiamen University has its own "coffee culture". The former president advocated that each college should have its own coffee shop, so there are large and small coffee shops in the corners of the campus. There is a lakeside coffee shop near Furong Lake, which is also the filming location of "Meteor Shower".

Xiamen University is the first university in mainland China to have a world-class scientific research vessel. "Jia Geng" is a top national scientific research ship built by Xiamen University with complete intellectual property rights.

Several areas of the Xiamen student dormitories have rooms with incomparable sea views.

Xiamen University really has tree climbing classes, golf classes, diving classes, desert island survival classes, sailing classes, and diving classes that can also issue internationally recognized open water diving certificates.

The advantageous colleges of Xiamen University include the School of Economics, School of Management, School of Chemistry, etc. The accounting major ranks first in the country, and finance, statistics, and economics are among the top established majors in the country.

Chen Jingrun graduated from the Department of Mathematics of Xiamen University. Lu Xun, Lin Yutang, and Yu Guangzhong all taught at Xiamen University, as well as the famous teacher Yi Zhongtian.

Xiamen University’s literary style has a long history. Gao's "My Deskmate" was written at Xiamen University.

There is also LAM Raymond who studied architecture at Xiamen University. Faye Wong studied in the biology department of Xiamen University for one year and then went to Hong Kong for development.
