How to apply for an Australian tourist visa for underage children to travel?

You must have a passport to travel abroad.

If you don't even have a passport, you can't travel abroad. Therefore, before applying for an Australian tourist visa, you must apply for a passport for your child. It should be noted that minors' passports cannot be handled by their parents or others, but must be accompanied by their parents and handled by the relevant departments themselves.

When applying for a passport, parents need to bring their children's personal identification photos, household registration books, parents' ID cards and related copies to the entry-exit administration for passport application. However, the entry-exit administration departments in each place may have different documents to prepare for passport processing, depending on local requirements.

How do children apply for an Australian tourist visa?

When minors apply for an Australian tourist visa, they need to provide a series of materials to prove their relationship with their parents or legal guardians, that is, a scanned copy or photocopy of the original applicant's birth certificate (showing the names of both the applicant and parents), a scanned copy or photocopy of their parents' marriage certificate, and a color scanned copy or photocopy of their parents' ID card.

In addition to the above relationship certificate, the applicant shall also provide the following materials:

1. Color scanned copy or photocopy of the household registration book;

2. Two copies of the color scan/latest passport profile page;

3. Color scanned copies of the front and back of the ID card.

4. Color scanning of passport-sized photos.

5. Proof of funds:

-scanned bank passbook of parents' deposit history and/or salary income over a period of time.

-A scanned copy/copy of the payroll issued by the parents and employers.

-A scanned copy of the parents' retirement salary card.

-Other documents certifying parents' funds or property.

-Provide parents' employment certificates.

If only one parent is traveling to Australia with a minor child, when applying for an Australian tourist visa, the child must also provide the identity certificate of the other parent (father or mother), and fill in the consent form according to the requirements of the Australian government, indicating the time, approximate date and stay time of the child's permission to go to Australia, and the contact information of the other child's permission to go to Australia once or more.
