Which province and city is Hengshan in?

Hengshan Mountain is in Baoding City, Hebei Province.

Hengshan Mountain, the northern mountain among the five mountains, has been in Hebei Province from the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period to the middle of the Ming Dynasty, which is now damao mountain in Baoding City, Hebei Province. In the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, it was designated as Tianfengling (Xuanwu Mountain) in Hunyuan, Shanxi Province. Ancient records generally refer to Mount Hengshan in Quyang (located at the junction of Fuping County, Tangxian County and Laiyuan County after the administrative change), and Mount Hengshan in Quyang was renamed damao mountain, also known as Shen Jianshan.

Guheng Mountain is the highest peak at the junction of northern North China Plain and Taihang Mountain, which is 20 km away from Baoding/KLOC-0. It consists of more than 20 peaks. Standing on the top of the cliff, you can see the spectacular sight of the peaks connected, deadlocked, pressed and competing. There is a folk saying that "the fairy mountain is forty miles, the top of the mountain is one meter, rolling one inch a day, and rolling to the end for several years", describing the height of the mountain.

The scenery of Hengshan Mountain

Hengshan Mountain is full of lush trees and flowers. On the broad racing beam, the grass grows luxuriantly, the grass in Fei Ying grows, and the flowers are in full bloom, which harmoniously blends the towering mountains with the vast grassland. Above the canyon cliffs, Gu Song Cooper and waterfalls go straight down, especially the monkey beam on the cliff, which adds to the openness and serenity of the mountain after the danger.

Hengshan Mountain is the first barrier for warm and humid air to cross the North China Plain from southeast to northwest. Because of the sudden elevation, the warm and humid airflow releases heat and brings rain, and because the northwest is surrounded by Taihang Mountain, the mountains above 2000 meters above sea level are arranged in a semicircle from Laiyuan to Fuping, forming a natural barrier to block the cold current from the northwest in winter, so a special mountainous microclimate with rainy summer and cool weather is formed around the mountains.
