Born in 1924.

on March 22nd, he was born in Tunzhi Village, Wenxu Township, mengshan county, Guangxi.

I was fourteen years old in 1938. In the second half of the year, I dropped out of school for half a year because of malaria and diarrhea. Read a large number of famous ci collections and two chess manuals, and tutor in mathematics.

I was seventeen years old in 1941. In the summer, I transferred to Guilin High School. I was widely exposed to new literature and loved watching movies.

I was eighteen years old in 1942, and contributed to Li Bao.

I was nineteen years old in 1943, graduated from middle school in winter, and went to Liangfeng to rent a house for self-study, preparing to apply for Guangxi University.

I was twenty years old in 1944. In May, I lost the battle of Xianggui. In July (suspected), due to changes in the war situation, he was forced to return home. In mid-September, Jane Youwen, Tsung i Jao and others came to Mengshan to take refuge. Soon, thanks to Jane and Wen as a teacher. In October, Guilin fell.

First of all, Liang Yusheng definitely affirmed the position and value of martial arts novels in literature. He pointed out that as a genre of novels, martial arts novels are undoubtedly a strange flower in China's literary garden, and "martial arts novels should be allowed to exist".

Secondly, he believes that martial arts novels must have martial arts and chivalry, martial arts is a means, chivalry is the real purpose, and chivalry is achieved by means of force; Therefore, chivalry is important, and martial arts is secondary. A person can be completely ignorant of martial arts, but he can't be chivalrous.

Thirdly, he believes that to write a good martial arts novel, the author can only expect to succeed if he has considerable knowledge of history, geography, folk customs, religion, etc., and has a good foundation in artistic means and ancient prose, and also knows the three strokes and two styles of China Wushu. The writer's creative attitude should be correct.

Writing Style

When he gave a speech at the invitation of Singapore Writers Association in 1977, he introduced his efforts in writing martial arts novels: First, he tried to reflect the historical truth of a certain era; The second is to focus on shaping the character; The third is to strengthen the artistic appeal of the works.

His attitude towards martial arts novels is still wise and fair. He once poured cold water on the blind and rampant "martial arts fever" that once arose in the mainland.

Liang Yusheng [1](1924.3.22~29.1.22), whose original name was Chen Wentong, was a famous martial arts novelist in China. He was also known as the three masters of China's martial arts novels with Jin Yong and Gu Long, and was regarded as the founder of the new school of martial arts novels.
