How to get to Riye

Liye is located in the hinterland of Wuling Mountain in Hunan Province, where the four provinces of Hunan, Hubei, Chongqing and Guizhou meet. It belongs to Longshan County of the Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in Western Hunan. The Tujia language means to open up this land. As early as 6,000 years ago, humans were inhabiting the area. Although it has magical natural scenery and unique ethnic customs, the inconvenient transportation has made its economy and culture relatively backward, making it a remote town.
