Based on the macroscopic morphology and lithological characteristics of mountains, my country's famous mountains can be divided into: famous granite mountains, karst mountains and rivers, Danxia scenery, other famous mountains whose main causes are natural factors, and famous historical and cultural mountains.

1. Famous granite mountains:

Granite is an acidic intrusive rock that is widely distributed. The rock mass is rich in shape, hard and simple, and often forms the core of mountains. Its landscape features are: the main peak is obvious, surrounded by other peaks, steep and dangerous, majestic and precipitous. my country's Taishan, Huangshan, Huashan, Hengshan, Jiuhuashan, Laoshan, Zhejiang Tiantai Mountain, Hebei Panshan, etc. are almost all or mostly composed of granite. In addition, scenic spots such as Wanshi Mountain on Gulangyu Island in Xiamen, Mount Putuo in Zhejiang, and Tianya Haijiao in Hainan Island are all famous granite hills.

2. Karst landscape scenery:

Karst landforms are mainly developed in carbonate rock areas. The basic characteristics of the landscape are: the mountains are not high in height and are rocky.

There are many peaks or solitary peaks protruding, and the shapes are rich. There are many karst caves in the scenic area, and there are often underground lakes or underground rivers in the caves

As well as stalactites, stalagmites, stone pillars, stone flowers and other colorful caves formed by the dissolution and precipitation of limestone

Cave landscapes are mainly distributed in Guangxi and Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau and other places.

3. Danxia Scenery:

Danxia Mountains were developed in red sandstone areas and were named Danxia landforms because they were discovered in Danxia Mountains in Renhua County, Guangdong. Its landscape is characterized by Danshan, clear water, exquisiteness and exquisiteness. Renhua Danxia Mountain is a typical Danxia scenic spot in my country. In addition, in the Wuyi Mountain Scenic Area located in Chong'an County in northern Fujian, 36 peaks and mountains stand majestically on the banks of the Jiuqu River, forming a Danxia landscape of "the winding mountains turn around and the peaks and peaks embrace the current" and a deep and strange cave landscape.

4. Other famous mountains formed by natural factors:

Mainly Yandang Mountain in Yueqing County, Zhejiang Province, Lushan Mountain in Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, Wuling Mountain in Dayong City, northwest Hunan, and Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area in the Wanshan Gorge southwest of Nanping County, Sichuan Province, Huanglong Scenic Area at the foot of Dingding Mountain in Songpan County, Sichuan Province, and Alishan Mountain northeast of Chiayi City, Taiwan.

5. Famous historical and cultural mountains:

Famous mountains are formed due to the numerous cultural landscapes or historical relics. Such famous mountains have outstanding characteristics and have their own unique historical value, cultural value, religious value, etc. For example, Jinggangshan is known as the "cradle of revolution", Badaling is world-famous, Snake Mountain in Wuhan is famous for the poem "Yellow Crane Tower", and famous mountains are world-famous for the digging of grottoes, such as Longmen Mountain in Luoyang.
