8. Former Zhazidong Prison Site

Introduction

It was originally a coal cave on the outskirts of Chongqing. It was a small coal mine opened in 1920 and was later set up as a detention center by the Military Command Bureau of the Nationalist Government.

Zhazi Cave is surrounded by mountains on three sides and faces a ditch on one side. The terrain is hidden and it is dedicated to detaining and persecuting revolutionaries. The more famous one is "Sister Jiang".

Zhazi Cave was restored and rebuilt on the original site, truly reflecting the scene at that time. The atmosphere was depressing and the torture instruments on display were shocking.

9. Furong Cave

Introduction
