Gansu is one of the traditional settlements and birthplaces of the Han nationality. Yongzhou, an ancient place, is the hub and prime location of the Silk Road. Jiayuguan, the westernmost end of the Great Wall in Ming Dynasty, is known as "the first male pass in the world". Because of its steep terrain and magnificent architecture, Jiayuguan is called the lock key. Jiayuguan is the traffic throat of the ancient Silk Road. It was built in the fifth year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (1372). It consists of inner city, outer city, Luocheng, Wengcheng, moat and the Great Wall on the north and south wings, forming a strict defense system. Jiayuguan is listed in the "World Cultural Heritage" list and is a national key cultural relics protection unit. The main attractions are Jiayuguan Guancheng, the Great Wall hanging on the wall and the first pier of the Great Wall.

Kongtong Mountain, a famous Taoist mountain in China, is the west fortress of the ancient Silk Road. Its main peak is 2 1.23 meters above sea level, which combines fantastic natural landscape with simple and exquisite humanistic landscape, and has extremely high ornamental, cultural and scientific research value. Since ancient times, it has had the reputation of "the first mountain in the west", "the wonder of western town" and "the beauty of Kongtong Mountain is the best in the world".

Maijishan Grottoes is one of the four major Buddhist grottoes in China, a national key cultural relic protection unit and a world-famous art treasure house, and is called the Oriental Sculpture Museum.
