Wutai Mountain Travel Guide Two-day Tour of Wutai Mountain

The two-day tour of Wutai Mountain starts from Wutai Mountain and reaches Wuye Temple, Xiezi Cliff and Bodhisattva Peak.

1. Wuye Temple

Wuye Temple was founded in the Ming Dynasty and rebuilt in the Qing Dynasty. At present, most of the temples were built in the Qing Dynasty. The Manjusri Hall, which sits east to west, was founded in the 44th year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty. It is three rooms wide and divided into two floors, with three eaves resting on the top of the mountain. The eaves are complex, connected from top to bottom, left and right, strong and decorative, and unique in Wutai Mountain Hall. In the lower floor of the hall, there are three bodhisattvas, Manjusri, Guanyin and Pu Xian. Manjusri rides a lion, Guanyin rides a "roaring towards the sky", and Pu Xian rides an elephant, with a tall statue. Plastic workers are vivid and colorful.

2. Writing Cliff

Qifeng Lingya is everywhere, with more than 5 famous people. Among them, the writing cliff, after being wetted with water, is carefully wiped with a handkerchief, and the cliff surface will show handwriting similar to seal script, and the water is dry and the words are hidden. Someone once removed the epidermis stone layer, and as a result, the lower layer could still erase the words. There are words at different levels, and the words are different. According to the records, the couplet "the three treasures of heaven, the sun, the moon and the stars, the three treasures of earth, the fire, the water and the wind, and the three treasures of man" has been found.

3. Bodhisattva Peak

Located on the Lingjiu Peak in Wutai Mountain, Shanxi Province, Bodhisattva Peak is resplendent and colorful, with the characteristics of a palace. It is the largest Lama temple in Wutai Mountain and the national key Buddhist temple in the Han nationality area determined by the state.

The strata are complete and rich, especially the Precambrian strata are typical and peculiar, which is the key area of geological scientific research in China. Most strata in Wutai Mountain are named after the mountains, waters, villages and towns in this area, which play an important role in the field of geology.

Wutai Mountain is composed of ancient crystalline rocks, with deep cuts in the north and five towering peaks, with flat peaks: Wanghai Mountain in Dongtai, Guayue Peak in Xitai, Jinxiu Peak in Nantai, Yedou Peak in Beitai and Cuiyan Peak in Zhongtai. Outside the five peaks, it is called outside Taiwan, while inside the five peaks, it is called inside Taiwan, with Taihuai Town as the center.
