When will construction of the Huizhou section of Binhai Highway start?

In March 2018, the Guangdong Provincial Department of Transportation issued the "Guangdong Coastal Tourism Highway Plan", which shows that the planned main line of the Huizhou section is 104.7 kilometers long, passing through Huangbu Town, Pinghai Town, Tieyong Town, and Renshan in Huidong County. The town and the six towns and streets of Xiayong Street and Aotou Street in Dayawan District began bidding after the announcement. The bidding was completed on March 12, 2020 and construction began. The estimated total investment in construction is 9.692 billion yuan, and the construction and installation fee is 5.69 billion yuan. Yuan, by 2025, the combined functions of coastal tourism highways with transportation, ecological protection, tourism and leisure will be fully realized, fully supporting the development of the coastal economic belt in Guangdong Province.
