Where to play in Houston one day?

There are not many tourist attractions in Houston, among which the most famous ones are Houston Space Center, Herman Park, Miller Outdoor Theatre, Rice University, San Singto Ancient Battlefield, China City and so on.

Houston Space Center

Houston Space Center is the most attractive tourist attraction in Houston area. There are many precious physical exhibits (such as the return capsule and moon rocks), introductions about landing on the moon and high-tech demonstrations. Visitors can touch the rocks collected on the moon with their hands.

Herman park

Herman Park, located in the southwest of the city, is covered with trees and covers an area of about 165 hectares. The park is surrounded by Texas Medical Center, Rice University, Zoo and many museums. It can be said that the park constitutes the center of the tourist attractions in downtown Houston.

Miller Outdoor Theatre

Located next to Herman Park, from the end of April to the end of 1 1, there are high-level free performances or movies almost every weekend (five or six days): symphony, ballet, song and dance, jazz, Spanish song and dance, and so on. Every year from the end of July to the middle of August, Shakespeare Festival is held here, and Shakespeare's plays are staged.

Rice University

Known as Harvard in the South, its campus is the only Mediterranean-style building in the United States, which is beautiful and charming. Newcomers often take wedding photos here on weekends. Rice University is next to Herman Park, just across the main street.

The ancient battlefield of St. Ji Singto

It's in the eastern suburb of Houston, at the entrance of the port passage of Houston outside expressway on the 8th. In April 1836, Mexican General Santa Anna pursued the rebels led by Sam Houston, only to be ambushed by Sam Houston. Only ten minutes later, Santa Anna's army surrendered. This is not a big battle. It made Texas independent. The USS Texas docked beside the ancient battlefield. This ship is the only surviving warship that participated in World War I and World War II.

Chinatown

There are two China cities in Houston, the old one is south of downtown and the south of Highway 59. Most new immigrants from China don't live in the city center. In 1980s and 1990s, at the junction of Bailey Avenue and Highway 8, which is just west of downtown, a new China City gradually formed, which is the best China City in the United States.

zoo

Houston Zoo can't compare with those famous zoos, but there are still many animals in it. Some tropical animals are still very precious, and the tickets are very cheap, only eight yuan. Let's have a look. The zoo has two entrances. The main entrance is in Herman Park, and the other entrance is across the street from Herman Hospital.
