The Jingcheng Expressway is an expressway connecting Beijing to Chengde, Hebei Province. According to the "Beijing Urban Master Plan", the Fourth Ring Road in Beijing to Miyun is an expressway. Among them, the section from Wangheqiao on the Fourth Ring Road to Gaoliying on the Sixth Ring Road is the first phase of the Jingcheng Expressway. The total length is about 21 kilometers. It adopts two-way six lanes and continuous parking strips. It was completed and opened to traffic in 2002; from the Sixth Ring Road to Miyun is the second phase of the project, with a total length of about 46.7 kilometers.
