What are the must-see tourist attractions in Chongqing?
When I was preparing to travel, this movie by Zhang Jiajia was released, and I planned to watch it after the trip, because this movie has great meaning to me. I always felt that everything in life and work was irrelevant. There was no time to deal with it, let alone travel. Later, after accidentally reading Lao Zhang’s book, I suddenly realized that there are many things worth trying in this life. In addition to monotonous life and work, we also need to have appropriate Use your travels as a condiment, adjust your mentality and set off again. After you are full of energy, you can bring more positive energy to your life and work.
Because we were starting from Chengdu, we first chose the train. Since the city is relatively close, it only takes about 2 hours. As a result, I unexpectedly met my college best friend M and her husband Mr. W in Chengdu. After playing together in Chengdu for two days, the four of us set off to Chongqing with Mr. W driving the car. There are four great happy events in life. Meeting M made me extremely happy, and it also fulfilled the great joy of "meeting an old friend in a foreign land". Before going to Chongqing, I didn’t have a lot of expectations for this city. Maybe this city is too low-key and there wasn’t much publicity in city publicity and some travel magazines, so I didn’t have much impression of Chongqing. , even because it was the last two days of the trip, my body was already a little tired, so I came to Chongqing with the mentality of just passing by and taking a look.
We set off in the afternoon and arrived at the small hotel in Chongqing. The night was getting darker. I looked at the time and saw that it was already past nine o'clock in the evening in Chongqing. I was so tired from the journey that I wanted to go to the hotel to take a shower and sleep, and I wasn’t even in the mood to have dinner. But W was in high spirits. After taking a short rest in the hotel, he took us out of the hotel and walked towards the streets with more people. Maybe because the hotel is located in the city center, the surrounding streets are still noisy.
As soon as we turned, we walked onto a road similar to a bar street. The streets are bright and colorful, and young men and women in fashionable clothes hug each other and walk into bars. From time to time, there are drunk people, laughing or talking loudly. It seems that no matter which city you are in, there is such a person in the dark night. The noisy place in the middle. We found a barbecue restaurant, ate skewers and chatted. Gradually, like young men and women, we integrated into this short-lived bustling. By the time we got back to the hotel, it was already very late, but we were also very happy. This is my first impression of Chongqing: lively and noisy.
Early the next morning, Mr. C and I were already up and ready to set off. This is a habit we have developed during the trip. No matter how tired we were the day before, we must get up early and set off the next day. We all cherish this trip. This morning's destination was the famous "Chaotianmen Pier" in Chongqing. It took almost an hour by subway and then walked for a while to reach the riverside. The gloomy sky seems to be covered with a thick layer of clouds, and it is indeed worthy of being called the "Fog City".
Because it has passed the National Day Golden Week, there are no crowded crowds near Chaotianmen Pier, but there are also tourists visiting here. There are 2 to 3-story cruise ships on the shore. From time to time, you can still hear promotions on the ship, talking about today's itinerary, and soliciting tourists. There are also large cargo ships passing by, carrying heavy cargo, walking slowly on the river. In addition to tourists, there are many vendors selling snacks on the shore. The most popular ones are hot and sour noodles and Chongqing noodles.
I was attracted by a lady who was making dragon beard cakes. I stood by the stall and watched her hand-making dragon beard cakes on the spot. First, she made a piece of transparent golden jelly-like stuff (I guess it should be boiled with sucrose). (made) into the flour, and then used dexterous hands to continuously stretch and wrap the syrup around. After about 5 or 6 minutes, the original large piece of syrup had turned into a piece thinner than a hair. The thing that looked like a dragon's beard was amazing. I was amazed and became interested in it. I thought that a box of such handmade products would cost more than 10 yuan, but when I asked, I didn't expect that it was only 5 yuan per box, and the texture was soft. , the sweetness was just right, and I immediately fell in love with this snack. After three times, five divided by two, I destroyed a box. Later, I brought a box to M, and I left with satisfaction. Later, we ate small glutinous rice dumplings (2 yuan for a small bowl) and delicious rock sugar white fungus soup along the way.
We walked all the way and ate all the way to Chaotianmen Pier. Chaotianmen Pier is located at the intersection of two rivers. It is a curve. Walking from one side does not feel like anything, but when you actually walk to the middle of the pier, where the two rivers meet, you can really feel the momentum of Chaotianmen. The two rivers are the Yangtze River and the Jialing River. Due to the different colors of the water in the two rivers, you can clearly see the dividing line at the confluence of the rivers. One side is turbid khaki, and the other side is clearer green. Unfortunately, I didn’t bring a camera, so I couldn’t take the photo with my mobile phone. There is no such clear-cut color. In addition to watching from the riverside, you can also walk up to the high platform built by Chaotianmen to watch the entire river view. Near the pier, I also discovered a subway station that is still under maintenance. It is estimated that in the near future, you can take the subway directly to the riverside to watch. As soon as you exit the subway, you can see the river view of Chaotianmen. However, when you think about it carefully, you also lose some interest. After all, you missed the interesting stories along the way.
The legendary "Bangbang"
I rushed back to the hotel at noon to check out and pick up my luggage. I also had a bowl of authentic Chongqing noodles next to the hotel. A full bowl only costs 7 yuan, and the taste is guaranteed to be pure and spicy. In the afternoon, we moved to a hotel near Chongqing North Railway Station. Since everything was booked in advance, we could just check in directly.
Speaking of hotels, I think this is the biggest discount for this trip. Because it is Golden Week, Baidu Maps has subsidized a lot of accommodation. I saved half of the originally planned accommodation fee, and the hotel environment is also pretty good. Here we recommend a hotel called "Shangkeyou". The decoration style is fashionable, simple and beautiful, and the price is relatively affordable. Friends who are traveling may wish to learn about it in advance.
After a short lunch break, the four of us still continued our activities separately. Because the purpose and preferences of the trip were not quite the same, and we were unwilling to change our original plans, M and W went directly to Jiefang. The monument rewarded my stomach, and Mr. C and I went to the Chongqing Art Museum. Speaking of going to the art museum, Mr. C and I searched for a while before we found it. It was already nearby based on the map, but we couldn't find the entrance.
I think friends who have been to Chongqing should have had this experience of getting lost. There is no way anyone can let it be a mountain city. It is originally a city built with nine twists and turns and undulating mountains. So you often see this kind of scene in Chongqing. The top floor of this building may be at the same height as the first floor of the building behind it. The buildings are always stacked on both sides of the street, and there are basically no bicycles. The trail starts to go up as you walk. When you are tired and out of breath, there will be a downhill road for you to rest. No wonder people say that girls in Chongqing have good figures, but they have developed them since childhood.
After walking around on a high platform, we found the entrance to the art museum, which was also built high up. After going up, we found that there was a fountain square where adults, children and even pets were relaxing. , especially children and puppies, running around and laughing, which makes you feel a lot better just by looking at them. The Chongqing Art Museum does have many works and diverse styles, so it is worth visiting. The entire Chongqing Art Museum building is a fortress of modern art.
After I came out of the art museum, I knew that there was a famous place called Hongya Cave nearby because I had done my homework before, so I took Mr. C there. If you don't need a car, it won't be very far if you just walk. Along the roadside, we found a place called Hongyadong. We originally thought it was a large building with local characteristics. But when we got to the railing and looked down, wow, it’s amazing. It turns out that the road surface is actually worse than The other road next to it is much higher, and we are on the roof.
It turns out that Hongyadong is a wooden house built on the cliff. The "diaojiaolou" with the traditional architectural characteristics of Bayu is the main landscape, along the river and the mountain. By counting, the entire Hongya Cave is almost 9 stories high. Each floor is now opened up into a commercial street. Each floor is different and has become a major attraction in Chongqing. The Diaojiaolou has a unique style, and there is a small waterfall on the cliff next to it. I don't know if it is a man-made landscape or a natural one. In short, it is very unique. When we left Hongya Cave, the sun was already setting. I heard that the lights in Hongya Cave at night were very beautiful, but we left without waiting.
Because Hongyadong is also very close to Jiefangbei, we walked to Jiefangbei to see if M was still there, but by the time we arrived, they had already left. The Liberation Monument at night is crowded with people. It is probably the busiest place in Chongqing. The tall stone with the "Monument to the People's Heroes" engraved on it stands in the center of the commercial street. It seems that no matter which street you walk on, you will end up... Gathered here. Most of the surrounding areas are shopping malls and snacks, making it a good place for shopping and food. Don’t miss it if you pass by.
The first day of the trip is coming to an end. I have fallen in love with this city, its bustle, its delicious food, and this city full of fireworks.
