Tourist attractions in Shaoxing, Zhejiang: Lu Xun Memorial Hall

Shaoxing Lu Xun Memorial Hall was established in June 65438 +0953+10/October 65438, which is the earliest memorial figure museum in Zhejiang Province after the founding of the People's Republic of China. After half a century's efforts, it has developed into an important window of Shaoxing, a famous historical and cultural city, and a beautiful cultural landscape, enjoying a high reputation at home and abroad, with an annual audience of more than 700 thousand people. 1988 Lu Xun's former residence (including San Tan Yin Yue and Zhou Jia Laotaimen) was listed as a national key cultural relics protection unit; 1994, Lu Xun memorial hall was rated as the national excellent social education base; 1997, named by Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China as the national 100 patriotic education demonstration base; In 2004, it was rated as an advanced unit of patriotism education base in Zhejiang Province, and was rated as 6500 in China.

Lu Xun was born and raised in Sri Lanka and spent one third of his time in Shaoxing. Shaoxing's long history and splendid culture, especially the moral articles of many Vietnamese sages, have greatly influenced and played a role in Lu Xun's thought. Many of his novels were written in Shaoxing, and more than 20 articles were selected into Chinese textbooks for primary and secondary schools. The novels Blessing, The True Story of Ah Q and Medicine were adapted into movies.

In recent years, according to the important guiding spirit put forward by the CPC Central Committee to vigorously promote socialist cultural construction and cultural system reform, and promote public welfare cultural undertakings such as museums to be close to reality, life and the masses, Shaoxing Lu Xun Memorial Hall has combined red tourism with humanistic tourism, revolutionary traditional education with promoting the development of tourism industry, constantly enhancing the attraction and appeal of red tourism. In 2002, Shaoxing Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, in the spirit of being highly responsible for history, made a prudent decision and implemented the protection plan for the historical block of Lu Xun's hometown on the original basis of Lu Xun Memorial Hall. After several years of protection, construction and repair, Lu Xun's hometown has begun to take shape. It not only retains the former residence, ancestral home, San Tan Yin Yue and Bai Cao Garden where Lu Xun lived, but also restores a number of ancient houses and monuments related to Lu Xun, such as Zhoujia Xintaimen, Shoujia Taimen, Tugu Temple and Lu Xun Style Garden. In order to develop red tourism, Lu Xun Memorial Hall launched "Promoting National Culture, Visiting Lu Xun's Hometown" and "Learning Tour of Lu Xun's Hometown", with the original appearance of Lu Xun's former residence, Baicaoyuan, Santan Yinyue and the auxiliary display of Lu Xun's life story exhibition hall as the main position, and Lu Xun's grandmother's Anqiaotou as the auxiliary scenic spot. Combining the rich collection of cultural relics and a series of scientific research achievements, we persistently publicize and carry forward Lu Xun's thoughts and spirit through various forms, which embodies the characteristics and functions of social publicity and education in the memorial hall and strives to build a cultural brand.
