Attractions and landscapes

1. The old and new courtyards of the Wei family

Both courtyards have 7-meter-long bluestone-paved corridors. The layout and the intricately carved window lattice and door lintels show the style of the Wei and Tang Dynasties. The old and new courtyards built by Wei Fu Tang Dynasty look like the courtyard houses in Beijing, and they are still the most conspicuous buildings in Qingmuchuan Town.

The new courtyard became the office of the forestry department. It is relatively well preserved, with blue bricks and plain tiles, carved beams and painted buildings, showing the simplicity of the ancient town architecture in southern Shaanxi. The 7-meter-long bluestone in the courtyard and front porch of the Wei family courtyard was carried back by the workers. Several old residences from the Wei and Tang Dynasties have been included in the Ningqiang County Ancient Building Group for protection.

2. Ancient buildings

The ancient buildings in Qingmuchuan Town are mainly located on Huilongchang Street. The street was first built in the Chenghua period of the Ming Dynasty, with a total area of ??more than 40,000 square meters and a preservation rate of 80%. The lower half of the back street was damaged by water. It has been built successively since Xianfeng of the Qing Dynasty. It was also repaired and built during the Republic of China. There are three Wei family residences and one middle school founded by him, with a total area of ??8,500 square meters and a preservation rate of 85%.

The street buildings stretch 866 meters from bottom to top and are 4 meters wide. The Jinxi River turns around the ancient town, and the ancient streets are stretched into an arc by the river. Shaped like a crouching dragon, it now has 260 ancient buildings and houses with unique simplicity, carved beams and paintings, and elegant style. It is a historical and cultural heritage that cannot be recreated.
