Beijing Free Travel Guide

If you are coming to Beijing for the first time, or if you don’t have enough time (4-5 days), there are a few scenic spots that you must visit, otherwise your visit will be in vain.

Tiananmen, the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven, the Summer Palace, Dashilar.

If you have enough time, you can add: Old Summer Palace, Prince Gong's Mansion, Beihai Park, Ming Tombs, 798 Art District, Bird's Nest, Nanluogu Lane, etc.

If you arrive in Beijing at noon, store your luggage at the hotel, then go out for a walk to the Temple of Heaven Park, and in the evening go shopping in Dashilar and eat snacks. Because the Temple of Heaven Park is very close to the front door, and there are four gates to the Temple of Heaven, a taxi will cost around 15 yuan if there is no traffic jam.

This point needs to be explained. The taxi charging standard in Beijing is daytime (5:00 am-22:59 pm). The starting price is 10 yuan (within three kilometers), and the fare beyond (inclusive) three kilometers to ten Kilometers within five kilometers are charged at 2 yuan per kilometer. Kilometers exceeding (inclusive) fifteen kilometers (an additional 50% empty driving fee per kilometer) will be charged at RMB 3. Night time (23:00 p.m. - 4:59 a.m.) The starting price is 11 yuan (within three kilometers). Other billing methods are the same as above, but an additional 20% nighttime fee is charged for each kilometer (excluding the starting price of 11 yuan). I just write wherever I want, and you can just leave it at that, because I live here every day and I have no way of writing it out...

The morning and evening rush hours in Beijing are terrible, so I recommend 6:30-8 :30,17:00-19:00 Don’t choose a taxi, because there are traffic jams everywhere, and taking a taxi will just helplessly watch your money go away. Take the subway! Beijing's subway is very convenient. You can ride anywhere for only two yuan. Basically, there are stops at famous scenic spots or places with a large flow of people. Even if they don't, it's very convenient to take a few bus stops and then take the subway. Just download the Beijing subway map online.
